On 20 June 2026, in the village of Mirkovci near Skopje, the Prevention Department of the Skopje Police Department, in cooperation with the Directorate for Protection and Rescue and the Municipality of Čučer Sandevo, conducted a preventive educational campaign on fire protection.
Citizens were reminded of the importance of raising awareness about protecting forests from fires. During the activity, educational leaflets were distributed to the public.
A similar preventive activity on the same topic was carried out today within the jurisdiction of the Kisela Voda Police Station, on the Skopje–Makedonski Brod road, in cooperation with the public enterprise “Jasen”. During this activity, citizens were also provided with educational leaflets and were advised to immediately report any open-air fire to the emergency number 112.
On 21 June 2026, on Boris Trajkovski Boulevard in Skopje, the Prevention Department of the Skopje Police Department, in cooperation with the National Road Traffic Safety Council, organized and conducted an educational and preventive road safety campaign under the slogans “Wear Your Seat Belt” and “Do Not Endanger Road Safety Through Speeding and Aggressive Driving.”
Through direct communication with drivers, officials emphasized the importance of fully complying with traffic laws and regulations, with particular focus on the use of seat belts and adjusting driving speed in accordance with road traffic rules and conditions.
