Today (30.11.2025) in Delčevo, police officers from the Prevention Unit and the Uniformed Police Station at the Police Department for Road Traffic Safety Delčevo carried out a preventive activity under the theme “Drive safely – arrive securely”.
During the activity, drivers were given informative leaflets with useful advice about the mandatory use of winter equipment. The goal was to remind drivers that from 15 November 2025 to 15 March 2026 it is mandatory to possess and carry winter equipment in vehicles, as well as to educate them on its proper use.
At the same time, it was highlighted that winter conditions bring a higher level of risk: slippery roads due to snow, ice or black ice, reduced visibility due to dense fog or precipitation, as well as increased driver fatigue.
Drivers were also reminded that the use of seat belts is mandatory and that vehicles must be technically sound. Additionally, they were advised that if they consume alcohol, they must not drive a motor vehicle.
Road safety is a shared responsibility, and only through responsible behavior by all traffic participants can a culture of safety and care for everyday road users be built.
