On November 18, 2025, police officers from the Traffic Safety Police Station of the Police Department of Veles conducted a preventive initiative on the theme "The Consequence of Operating a Technically Defective Vehicle" at various locations throughout the city. The aim of this initiative is to raise awareness about the importance of driving a technically sound vehicle and the significance of regular inspections and maintenance of vehicles.
Analyzes show that the condition of vehicles is a significant factor affecting traffic safety. By regularly maintaining and checking the technical soundness of vehicles, traffic culture is elevated, and the risk of traffic accidents is reduced.
This initiative is part of the commemoration of November 16 – World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, and is within the framework of the campaign "Together with Responsible Behavior in Traffic, Let’s Contribute to Roads Without Victims." As part of the initiative, printed educational materials were distributed, created in collaboration with the National Council for Road Traffic Safety and the Faculty of Security in Skopje.
