By the Sector for General Police Work and the Prevention Departments at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in collaboration with the Clinic for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, a preventive campaign titled "Create Memories Without Injuries – Say NO to Pyrotechnics!" is currently underway.
The campaign is being implemented in over 90 primary and secondary schools across the entire country, where through educational presentations and direct communication, with practical examples and preventive messages, more than 3,500 students have had the opportunity to hear the message about the dangers and consequences of using pyrotechnics, as well as to be encouraged towards responsible and conscientious behavior for their own safety and that of others.
Unfortunately, every year the holidays are marked by injuries, fear, and anxiety – among children, individuals with disabilities, elderly citizens, as well as pets. Additionally, material damage is caused, and public order and peace are disrupted. That is precisely why this campaign emphasizes the importance of caring for others and for the community as a whole.
We call upon students, parents, teachers, institutions, and the entire public to join this initiative. Together we can contribute to safer holidays and send a clear message – "Celebrate responsibly, without alcohol behind the wheel, without risky behavior, and without pyrotechnics. This way, the holidays will be spent in joy, not in a hospital or police station!"
