On 31 May 2026, the Prevention Department of the Skopje Police Department, in cooperation with the Directorate for Protection and Rescue and the National Forests Public Enterprise, carried out a preventive-educational campaign as part of the operational action “Fire 2026” in the area covered by the Saraj Police Station.
The purpose of the activity was to raise public safety awareness among citizens and to strengthen trust and cooperation between the police and the community.
During the campaign, citizens were informed about the dangers of causing forest fires, particularly through lighting fires in open areas for food preparation, discarding cigarette butts, and other forms of careless behavior.
As part of the campaign, educational materials were distributed to those present, including leaflets containing recommendations on fire prevention and protection, with the aim of increasing public awareness of safe behavior in nature.
