Today (25.04.2026), police officers from the Prevention Sector and the Road Traffic Safety Police Unit at the SVR Veles, together with representatives from the Republic Council for Road Traffic Safety and the motorcycle club “Nosači na Krstot” from Veles, carried out a preventive traffic activity at several locations in the city under the motto “Wear a helmet, drive carefully”.
The aim of the activity was to increase traffic awareness by reminding road users of the rules and obligations for careful and responsible participation in traffic, with a special focus on the safety of moped and motorcycle riders.
Drivers were reminded of the mandatory use of protective helmets for both themselves and their passengers. Through a joint approach, especially with young riders, members of the motorcycle club shared their experiences on safe riding and emphasized the personal responsibility of every road user.
As part of the activity, educational materials were also distributed, prepared in cooperation with the Republic Council for Road Traffic Safety and the Faculty of Security – Skopje.
