The regional program for the certification of service dogs for product detection has been completed.

Within the framework of the project "Support for National Authorities in Reducing the Risk of Proliferation and Misuse of Small Arms and Light Weapons," the process of the Regional Program for the Certification of Service Dogs for Product Detection was successfully concluded—a significant step in strengthening regional security and combating transnational crime.

At the ceremony marking the completion of the training, the Director of the Bureau for Public Safety at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Aleksandar Janev, awarded diplomas to the participants, emphasizing that this program represents both a symbolic and essential building of bridges between institutions across the region.

"With six modular trainings and the creation of teams ready to be on the front lines in the fight against crime, the Regional K9 Center has established itself as a leading point for training and certification. Together, we are investing in the security, stability, and future of the region," highlighted Director Janev.

The project was implemented with the support of the OSCE, FRONTEX, and donors, whose collaboration and commitment were crucial for the successful execution of the program.

Through such activities, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Bureau for Public Safety reaffirm their dedication to the continuous enhancement of capacities to combat organized and transnational crime, as well as to strengthening regional security cooperation.
