During the past 24 hours, across the entire country, police officers deprived 12 drivers of their liberty for reckless driving.
Of these, seven were driving without a valid driver’s license, with one of them summoned for an official interview in Sveti Nikole. The remaining six were detained in Tetovo, Kumanovo, Delchevo, Bitola, and two in Kichevo.
Four drivers in Tetovo, Kumanovo, Berovo, and Resen were found to be operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol.
Additionally, two drivers in Skopje and Struga were driving despite having an active ban on operating Category B passenger vehicles.
After full documentation of the cases, appropriate criminal charges will be filed.
We appeal to all road users to respect traffic rules and regulations, not to drive without a valid license, while under a driving ban, or under the influence of alcohol, so that together we can contribute to safer roads.
