During the day yesterday, police officers across the entire territory of the country deprived six drivers of their liberty, four of whom were driving without a driver’s license, one was driving despite having a ban on operating a Category B motor vehicle, and one was driving under the influence of alcohol.
One driver in the Prilep area – a minor – and three drivers from the Tetovo area were operating vehicles without a driver’s license. One driver in Skopje was operating a vehicle despite having a measure prohibiting him from driving a Category B motor vehicle, and a 37-year-old woman was driving under the influence of alcohol.
The individuals were taken to police stations, and after full documentation of the cases, appropriate criminal charges will be filed.
We appeal to all road users to respect traffic rules and regulations, not to operate a vehicle without having passed the driving test, if they have been issued a driving ban, or if they are under the influence of alcohol, and together to contribute to safer traffic.
