The Minister of Internal Affairs, Panche Toskoski, today conducted a working visit to the Mavrovo Police Station, the Rostushe Police Station, and the Border Control Police Station in Zirovnica, where he was briefed on ongoing activities, working conditions, and the specific challenges faced by police officers in the field.
"A special plan will be developed in the Mavrovo Police Station for the upcoming winter tourist season, aimed at ensuring better traffic flow, timely management of the increased number of visitors, and the deployment of an adequate number of police officers to maintain public order and peace," emphasized Minister Toskoski.
During the visit to the Rostushe Police Station, the possibility of training police officers to conduct traffic accident investigations was discussed, which will enable quicker and more efficient completion of procedures on-site. This measure will contribute to reducing waiting times, avoiding prolonged blockages on the roads, and increasing the functionality of the system, considering that until now these investigations were conducted by teams from Gostivar.
At the Border Control Police Station in Zirovnica, the issue was also raised regarding the possibility of allocating part of the space within the station to the municipality, in order to provide parking space for residents, as a practical and rational solution in the interest of the local community.
