Today (27.12.2025), police officers from SIA Veles hosted the youngest residents of Veles. The children were surprised by the arrival of Santa Claus, who gave them New Year gift packages provided by the employees of SIA Veles in cooperation with a socially responsible company from the city. During the meeting with the police officers, the children also asked questions related to the police profession and shared some of what they had learned previously.
As part of today’s activities, the children’s ward at the General Hospital Veles was also visited, where children currently undergoing treatment were given New Year gift packages with wishes for good health and a carefree childhood.
Additionally, police officers from the Prevention Department at SIA Veles carried out preventive educational activities at several locations in Veles on the topics: “Celebrate with Heart, Not with Weapons,” “Safe Holidays, Without the Use of Fireworks,” and “Alcohol and Driving Are Not a Good Pair.” During these activities, citizens were informed about the dangers of using fireworks, possible consequences, and the legal provisions in place. Drivers were also reminded of the importance of following traffic rules and regulations to ensure the safety of themselves and all other road users.
Similarly, today, at multiple locations in the central urban area of Shtip, the Prevention Department Shtip, in cooperation with police officers from the Traffic Safety Police Station in Shtip, conducted educational campaigns under the mottos: “Alcohol and Driving Are Not a Good Pair – If You Drink, Don’t Drive” and “Drive Responsibly, Every Life Matters.” Citizens were handed flyers with educational content. Preventive activities on the same topics, as well as on “Say NO to Fireworks” and “Safe Holidays, Without the Use of Fireworks,” were also conducted at the Delčevo Border Crossing. During these activities, drivers were similarly given educational flyers.
On 26.12.2025, in five municipal high schools in Tetovo – “Nikola Ptej,” “8 September,” “Moša Pijade,” “7 Mart,” and “Todor Skalovski-Tetovec” – in cooperation with the Clinic for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from Skopje and the Red Cross Tetovo, professional lectures and presentations were held. These highlighted the risks of using fireworks for students’ health, primarily injuries to the hands, eyes, and other extremities. Red Cross teams also conducted practical simulations on providing first aid in case of injuries caused by fireworks. In addition, students were informed about the legal implications of purchasing, selling, and using firecrackers and other fireworks in public places.
