During the past 24 hours, police officers across the country detained eight individuals after drugs were found in their possession.
On 29.05.2026 at 00:05, in the Centar area of Skopje, R.M. (34) from Skopje was deprived of liberty after marijuana was found on him.
On 28.05.2026 at 11:55, in the Karposh area of Skopje, E.M. (37) from Skopje was detained after a white powdery substance was found in his possession.
On 28.05.2026 at 22:30, at the Idrizovo Prison Correctional Facility, F.A. (37) from the village of Grchec, Skopje region, an employee of the institution, was detained after leaving a brown powdery substance on a shelf in the visitation area while entering the facility.
On 28.05.2026 at 15:30, on “JNA” Street in Struga, A.N. (54) from Struga was detained after a package containing a white powdery substance was found on him.
On 28.05.2026 at 21:15 in Negotino, a 17-year-old from Negotino was detained after police found a cigarette containing green plant material.
On 28.05.2026 at 21:00, on “Republikanska” Street in Prilep, two minors were detained after marijuana was found during a search of one of them.
On 28.05.2026 at 12:51, at the Tabanovce Border Crossing, upon entry into the country, T.C. (42) from the Republic of Hungary was detained after border police conducted a search of a passenger vehicle, a Ford with Hungarian license plates, and found and seized a white powdery substance and tablets in his personal luggage.
After the cases are fully documented, appropriate charges will be filed against the individuals involved.
