Yesterday (March 29, 2026), between 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM, the Mobile Unit for Traffic Safety of the Traffic Department conducted a national action control in road traffic for drivers operating motor vehicles at speeds exceeding the legal limit.
During the action control, 41 measures were issued for speeding outside populated areas and one measure within a populated area.
One individual was detained for committing a criminal offense under Article 297a of the Criminal Code for driving a motor vehicle in the wrong direction on the highway.
Traffic controls will continue in the upcoming period.
We urge all participants in traffic to consistently adhere to traffic rules and regulations. Observing speed limits is one of the most important measures to prevent traffic accidents and to protect the life and health of citizens.
Only through responsible behavior can we collectively contribute to safe traffic on the roads.
