Today (29.03.2026) at 18:55 on the express road Štip–Radoviš, police officers from the Mobile Unit for Road Traffic Safety at the Traffic Affairs Sector, using a special interceptor vehicle of the Ministry of Interior, recorded a passenger vehicle (“Mercedes” with Skopje license plates) traveling at a speed of 178 km/h outside a populated area, where the maximum permitted speed is 110 km/h.
Appropriate measures have been taken against the driver, P.K. (33) from Radoviš, who will face the legally prescribed sanction.
Traffic controls with special interceptor vehicles will continue in the coming period across the entire country, with the aim of sanctioning offenders, increasing safety, and protecting all road users.
Driving at speeds higher than those prescribed is one of the main causes of traffic accidents, which often result in serious consequences for property, health, and human life.
