On 27/28 March 2026, in the period from 20:00 to 03:00, in the municipalities of Karpoš and Kisela Voda, police officers from the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs conducted inspections in several hospitality venues and casinos, undertaking multiple measures to maintain a stable security situation.
In the area of Karpoš, inspections were carried out in six hospitality venues, two casinos, and other facilities. During these controls, one person was deprived of liberty for possession of drugs, three persons were detained for identity verification, one measure was taken under the Law on Misdemeanors against Public Order and Peace, 37 measures were imposed under the Law on Road Traffic Safety, and two vehicles were removed by a special towing service (“spider”).
Meanwhile, in the area of Kisela Voda, police officers together with inspectors from the State Market Inspectorate conducted inspections in seven casinos and seven hospitality venues. In six casinos, violations were found related to the Law on Smoking, the Law on Personal Identification, and the Law on Private Security. In one hospitality venue, it was determined that there was no permit for a summer terrace, while in another venue a violation for exceeding permitted working hours was recorded.
Appropriate sanctions were imposed for all identified violations.
