The individuals involved in the violent incident in Gostivar have been identified, after police officers from the Gostivar Police Station took a series of measures and actions for a complete resolution of the case, immediately following the release of a video on social media.
On August 2, 2026, at 10:20 PM, A.V. (22) from Gostivar reported that on the same day around 2:30 AM on Borče Jovanoski Street in Gostivar, he and his friend L.E. were physically attacked by three unknown male individuals, who used hard and wooden objects during the assault. The duty public prosecutor was immediately informed of the incident, and under their guidance and in coordination with the competent prosecutor, the police officers from the Gostivar Police Station identified the three participants in the violent event after taking necessary measures and actions.
Two minors from Gostivar were summoned to the police station for an official conversation, during which, upon the order of a public prosecutor, their travel documents were confiscated.
The third individual is V.D. (20) from Skopje, for whom a telegram has been sent to the Skopje Police Department for further action. After the case has been fully documented, the individuals will be brought before the competent preliminary procedure judge on the following day through expedited proceedings, along with the appropriate submission.
