Today (28.11.2025) in Veles, police officers from the Prevention Unit at the Veles SIA conducted a preventive activity on the topic “There is Help for a Life Free of Violence.” Through direct communication, the citizens of Veles were informed about the manifestations of domestic violence, as well as about the rights and protection measures available in cases of domestic violence. During the activity, printed educational material containing information on protection against domestic violence was also distributed.
On the territory of the Shtip SIA, in Pehčevo, police officers from the Pehčevo Police Station delivered a lecture at the “Vancho Kitanov” Primary School on the topic “Protecting Children in Traffic.” Through a specially prepared presentation, the children were introduced to the basic traffic rules and regulations, including how to behave as participants in traffic—both as pedestrians and, in particular, when riding bicycles and electric scooters. In Berovo, police officers from the Berovo Police Station held educational lectures at the Berovo Home for Children with Special Needs on the topics “Bullying” and “Peer Violence.” The main objective of the lectures was to inform students about how to detect and recognise such deviant behaviours and to raise awareness for timely prevention and protection.
On the territory of the Skopje SIA, specifically in the areas of the Mirkovci Police Office, Gjorče Petrov Police Station of General Competence, Dračevo Police Station of General Competence and the Petrovec Police Office, educational workshops were held with students from prevention clubs on the topic “Human Rights – Children’s Rights and Prevention of Violence.” The aim was to improve student safety within educational institutions, build trust between students and the police, and strengthen mutual cooperation.
Police officers from the Macedonian Brod OVR within the Bitola SIA, in cooperation with the Pensioners’ Association of the Macedonian Brod area, carried out a preventive activity titled “Beware of Telephone Fraud” to inform elderly citizens about the dangers of phone scams, how to recognise them, and how to avoid becoming victims. They were also encouraged to report any suspicious case to the police. Printed educational material was distributed as part of the activity.
Yesterday, on the territory of the Strumica SIA, police officers from the Prevention Unit of the Strumica SIA conducted two educational lectures for students from first to fifth grade at the “Goce Delchev” Municipal Branch School in the village of Drvos, Strumica region, on the topic “Traffic Safety.” Through presentations and educational materials, students were introduced to basic traffic terminology, traffic signs, rules and regulations. Special emphasis was placed on practical training on how young pedestrians should move safely and cross the street, as well as how to behave in traffic when riding bicycles or electric scooters. Educational materials provided by the Road Traffic Safety Council of the Republic of North Macedonia were also distributed.
