On 28.11.2025, at the Star Dojran Border Crossing, three persons were arrested on reasonable suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Article 396 of the Criminal Code – “Unlawful manufacture, possession, and trade in weapons and explosive materials.”
Police officers from the Regional Center for Border Affairs South – Border Crossing Star Dojran, in coordination with customs officials and Frontex police officers, in three separate cases during border control for entry into the Republic of North Macedonia, discovered and seized around 200 rounds of undeclared hunting ammunition from three Greek citizens.
In the first case, around 10:20 AM, during a control of a passenger motor vehicle “Daihatsu Terios” with Greek license plates, driven by H.S. (38), more than 130 rounds (hunting ammunition) were found hidden in several locations inside the vehicle.
Additionally, around 11:20 AM, in a passenger motor vehicle “Honda” with Greek license plates driven by K.K. (76), 24 rounds (hunting ammunition) were found.
In the last case, around 4:30 PM, in a passenger motor vehicle “Suzuki Vitara” driven by T.P. (62), more than 40 rounds (hunting ammunition) were discovered.
