Preventive activities by the Police Department of Štip and the Police Department of Bitola for safe traffic, as well as for the prevention of gender-based violence and the use of pyrotechnic devices

 


Today (December 3, 2025), police officers from the Police Station in Probištip and the Police Station for Public Safety in Štip conducted preventive activities along the expressway Kočani-Štip and in the village of Bučishte in the Municipality of Probištip, focusing on traffic safety. Citizens were reminded of the necessity of carrying winter equipment to ensure safe travel, as well as the mandatory adjustment of speed according to road conditions. Through direct communication with drivers, they were informed about the consequences that may arise from using a mobile phone while driving, as well as from operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Additionally, they were made aware of the sanctions resulting from non-compliance with legal provisions, and participants in traffic were provided with printed educational materials prepared by the National Council for Road Traffic Safety.

Also today, in the area of the Police Department of Berovo, police officers conducted preventive activities aimed at raising awareness among citizens, especially the youth, about the dangers and consequences of using firecrackers and other pyrotechnic devices.

During yesterday, police officers from the Police Department of Macedonian Brod, in cooperation with the Center for Social Work and the association "Vezilka" - Macedonian Brod, held a forum at the secondary school "St. Naum of Ohrid" in Macedonian Brod on the topic: "Breaking the Silence in Our Community," an activity carried out as part of the global campaign "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence." Furthermore, at the invitation of police officers from the Police Department of Resen, students from the primary school "Slavejko Arsov" in the village of Podmochani visited the police station in Resen, where they were introduced to the basic rules and regulations of traffic.
