On 07 August 2026, at 12:12 p.m., the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector (SVR Skopje) was informed that a traffic accident had occurred on Radishanska Street in Skopje, involving a passenger vehicle “Alfa Romeo” with Italian registration plates, driven by S.B. (47) from Skopje, with temporary residence in Skopje, and a “Kawasaki” motorcycle with Skopje registration plates, driven by N.M. (19) from the village of Pobozhje, Skopje area.
As a result of the injuries sustained, the motorcyclist N.M. died at the scene of the accident. A physician from the Emergency Medical Service confirmed the death, and upon the order of a public prosecutor, the body of the deceased was handed over for autopsy. The driver S.B. sustained bodily injuries, which were confirmed at the PHI “St. Naum Ohridski”.
During the on-site inspection, as well as through measures undertaken and the securing of video footage, it was established that a passenger vehicle “Seat Altea” with Skopje registration plates had also been involved in causing the accident, but without physical contact. Following the accident, the driver left the scene without providing assistance to the injured persons.
Following additional measures, at around 7:40 p.m. in the village of Arachinovo, Skopje area, the vehicle and its driver, S.O. (46) from the village of Arachinovo, were located. He was detained, taken to a police station, and an official interview was conducted with him.
