The Ministry of Internal Affairs at SAHA Expo 2026: Strategic cooperation with the Turkish police confirmed

 

A delegation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, led by Assistant Minister for Public Relations Muhamed Ismaili, is participating in the international fair and conference SAHA Expo 2026, held in Istanbul from May 5 to 9.

During the visit, the delegation held a working meeting with the Deputy Director of the Turkish police, Mustafa Çalışkan. The meeting confirmed the strong and ongoing cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Turkish police, based on mutual trust and partnership. Special emphasis was placed on joint efforts in the fight against organized crime, human trafficking, and addressing modern security challenges. The interlocutors agreed that through enhanced operational coordination, information exchange, and joint activities, they would continue to contribute to strengthening regional and global security.

The meeting also discussed ongoing bilateral activities between the two countries, highlighting progress in aligning the Agreement on Mutual Recognition and Exchange of Driver's Licenses, as well as preparations for concluding a Security Cooperation Agreement. Additionally, the importance of advancing cooperation in training and education was emphasized, through the proposed Memorandum of Understanding between the Turkish National Police Academy and the Police Training Center.

Participation in SAHA Expo 2026 represents a significant opportunity for deepening international cooperation and exchanging experiences in the fields of security, defense industry, and modern technological solutions, aimed at enhancing the capacities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
