On 14 January 2026 at 00:32, SIA Bitola received a report of a traffic accident at the intersection of “Filip Vtori Makedonski” Street and “Bataljon Stiv Naumov” Street in Bitola. The accident occurred between a Ford Escort with Bitola registration plates, driven by N.B. (36) from Bitola, and a Dacia Sandero with Bitola registration plates, driven by N.M. (61) from Bitola.
As a result of the accident, the female passenger in the Dacia Sandero sustained serious bodily injuries, while both drivers and the passengers J.T. (24) and F.T. (24), both from Bitola, also sustained bodily injuries. The injuries were confirmed at the Clinical Hospital Bitola.
By order of a public prosecutor, an on-site investigation was carried out by an investigative team from SIA Bitola. After the measures taken, it was established that the driver of the Ford Escort was driving under the influence of alcohol, with 1.81‰ (promille) of alcohol in his blood, after which he was deprived of liberty.
On 13 January 2026 at 23:35, at the intersection of “Leskovačka” Street and “Branko Bogdanski Gucman” Street in Kumanovo, police officers from SIA Kumanovo deprived A.P. (28) from Kumanovo of his liberty. During a traffic control, officers stopped a Mercedes with Kumanovo registration plates, which he was driving, and established that he was under the influence of alcohol, with 2.55‰ of alcohol in his blood. He was immediately excluded from traffic and detained at a police station.
On 14 January 2026 at 00:52, on “Blagoj Gjorev” Street in Veles, police officers from SIA Veles deprived V.O. (50) of his liberty. During a traffic control, officers stopped a Chevrolet with Italian national registration plates, which he was driving, and established that he was under the influence of alcohol, with 1.80‰ of alcohol in his blood. He was immediately excluded from traffic and detained at a police station.
On 14 January 2026 at 02:50, on “Industriska” Street in Negotino, police officers from PSU Negotino deprived T.B. (38) from Negotino of his liberty. During a traffic control, officers stopped a Volkswagen with Negotino registration plates and established that he was under the influence of alcohol, with 1.54‰ of alcohol in his blood. He was immediately excluded from traffic and detained at a police station.
On 13 January 2026 at 19:30, on “28 Avgust” Street in Makedonska Kamenica, police officers from PSU Makedonska Kamenica deprived D.R. (72) from Makedonska Kamenica of his liberty. During a traffic control, officers stopped an Audi with Delčevo registration plates and established that he was under the influence of alcohol, with 2.27‰ of alcohol in his blood. He was immediately excluded from traffic and detained at a police station.
On 13 January 2026 at 21:40, on the A2 main road in Kičevo, police officers from PSU Kičevo deprived I.K. (44) from Skopje of his liberty. During a traffic control, officers stopped a Volkswagen Golf, which he was driving, and established that he was under the influence of alcohol, with 1.84‰ of alcohol in his blood. He was immediately excluded from traffic and detained at a police station.
On 13 January 2026 at 21:13, on “Jusuf Bageri” Street in Debar, police officers from PSU Debar deprived Lj.M. (60) from Debar of his liberty. During a traffic control, officers stopped a Volkswagen Passat with Struga registration plates and established that he was under the influence of alcohol, with 1.83‰ of alcohol in his blood. He was immediately excluded from traffic and detained at a police station.

During a traffic control, officers stopped a Kia with Bitola registration plates and established that he was under the influence of alcohol, with 1.92‰ of alcohol in his blood. He was immediately excluded from traffic and detained at a police station.
After full documentation of the events, criminal charges will be filed against all persons under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code – “Reckless driving of a motor vehicle.”
