On August 3, 2026, in Skopje, police officers from the Intervention Police Unit of the Skopje Police Department detained F.R. (30) and T.T. (44), both citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, due to reasonable suspicion of committing the crime of "counterfeiting money" under Article 268 of the Criminal Code.
Specifically, during a search of a "Golf" vehicle in which the two individuals were present, money in various currencies and denominations (euros, U.S. dollars, Swiss francs, and British pounds) totaling around 230,000 euros was discovered.
The found money has been confiscated, and the individuals have been taken to the Center Police Station for further proceedings. After documenting the case, a corresponding submission will be filed in coordination with the public prosecutor.
