During the past 24 hours across the country, police officers arrested 16 drivers for reckless driving. Of these, 14 were operating vehicles without a valid driver’s license, including two minors, while two drivers were under the influence of alcohol.
Four individuals in Gostivar (including one minor) were caught driving without a license. Three individuals in Štip were also found driving without a license, one of whom was additionally under the influence of alcohol. Two individuals in Tetovo (including one minor), two in Skopje, and one person each in Kočani, Prilep, and Debar were also caught driving without a valid driver’s license.
In addition, one driver in Vinica and one in Gostivar were found operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol.
Upon full documentation of the cases, appropriate criminal charges will be filed against the offenders.
The police appeal to all road users to respect traffic rules and regulations, not to drive without a valid driver’s license, while subject to a driving ban, or under the influence of alcohol, and to contribute collectively to safer roads for everyone.
