During the past 24 hours, police officers across the country arrested 14 drivers for reckless driving.
Of these, seven drivers were operating vehicles without a valid driving licence—two each in Skopje, Rosoman, and Kumanovo, and one in the Kavadarci area.
Five drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, in Kavadarci, Sveti Nikole, Negotino, Gevgelija, and on the Veles–Gradsko motorway.
Two additional drivers were arrested for driving in the wrong direction on the Gostivar–Tetovo road.
Upon completion of the investigations, appropriate criminal charges will be filed against all of the individuals involved.
We appeal to all road users to comply with traffic rules and regulations, not to operate a vehicle without a valid driving licence, while subject to a driving ban, or under the influence of alcohol. Together, we can all contribute to making our roads safer.
