Today (03.08.2026) at 08:41, at the Miletkovo parking area on the A1 motorway, police officers from the Strumica Sector for Internal Affairs – Gevgelija Police Department deprived Š.Z. (36), a citizen of Kosovo, of his liberty.
During a traffic control, it was established that he had been driving a Mercedes passenger vehicle with Kosovo registration plates at a speed of 220 km/h in an area where the maximum permitted speed is 120 km/h.
Criminal charges will be filed against him for the criminal offence of "reckless driving of a motor vehicle" under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code.
