On April 12, 2026, at 14:00, police officers from the Negotino Police Station arrested L.D. (55) from the village of Pepelište, Negotino area. While driving a passenger vehicle “Yugo” with Negotino license plates, he hit pedestrian R.M. (62) from the same village, who sustained bodily injuries confirmed at the Emergency Medical Service in Negotino.
After measures were taken and checks conducted, it was established that L.D. was under the influence of alcohol, with 2.76 promille of alcohol in his blood, and was driving despite an active driving ban. Following instructions from a public prosecutor, he was detained at a police station, the vehicle was confiscated, and after full documentation of the case, appropriate charges will be filed against him.
