On April 23, 2026, around 2:30 AM near the border line with Greece, in the area of the village of Bogorodica, police officers from the Police Station for Border and Migration Bogorodica detained U.Š. (48) from Skopje, on suspicion that he was transporting five migrant individuals, all from Vietnam, in a passenger vehicle, a Toyota Corolla, with Italian license plates. Following the order of a public prosecutor, U.Š. is being held at the police station and appropriate charges will be filed against him, while the migrants have been placed in the Reception-Transit Center "Vinoljub" in Gevgelija.
