On 05.03.2026 at 16:55 in Skopje, in the area of Gazi Baba, police officers from the Skopje Police Department deprived E.A. (25) from the Skopje area of his liberty following a previous report that on 23.02.2026 in his home he physically assaulted a 22-year-old woman whom he had previously met.
According to the report, the woman had arrived from Germany, and the suspect committed rape and made threats towards her. During the period she was in his home, he did not allow her to leave on her own and took her mobile phone.
On 04.03.2026 she managed to call her mother by phone, who then alerted the police. Police officers arrived at the indicated address and, after conducting a risk assessment, took appropriate action.
A public prosecutor has been notified and after the case is fully documented, an appropriate criminal complaint will be filed through a fast-track procedure.
