During the recent weekend (November 8-9, 2025), as a result of regular traffic controls conducted by police officers from all sectors of internal affairs on the roads across the country, out of a total of 1,466 issued payment orders, 786 violations pertained to drivers who did not adhere to the prescribed speed limits.
Fourteen individuals were arrested for reckless driving under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code, of which 11 were for driving under the influence of alcohol, two for speeding in populated areas, and one for exceeding the speed limit outside populated areas.
Furthermore, according to the statistical overview of police activities, during the past weekend, 174 violations for improper parking were recorded, 132 measures were imposed on drivers operating vehicles without a driver's license, and 91 sanctions were issued for driving under the influence of alcohol.
On the other hand, in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Road Traffic Safety, 60 traffic participants were sanctioned for not wearing seat belts. According to the Law on Vehicles, 20 vehicles were removed from traffic for being unregistered, and five for technical malfunctions.
