Yesterday, (March 11, 2026) at the premises of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, certificates were awarded to the participants of the Certified Training Program for the Neutralization and Deactivation of Small Arms and Light Weapons by the President of the National Commission for Small Arms and Light Weapons, Goranče Savovski, and the Head of the Department for Security and Community Support at the OSCE Mission, Edward Anderson.
The training was conducted as an activity within the project "Supporting the National Authorities of the Republic of North Macedonia in Reducing the Risk of Proliferation and Misuse of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW)," which is being implemented with the support of the OSCE Mission.
The President of the National Commission for Small Arms and Light Weapons and State Advisor in the Office of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Goranče Savovski, expressed gratitude for the realization of this training and the overall cooperation taking place with the OSCE Mission and the project team, emphasizing that through these activities, the capacities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs personnel are strengthened in terms of professional knowledge and skills, enabling employees to gain practical experiences relevant to their daily work.
Edward Anderson, the Head of the Department for Security and Community Support at the OSCE Mission, highlighted the fact that through joint cooperation, all activities planned within the project are being successfully implemented, and he thanked the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the training participants for their efforts in the overall training process.
