On 12 October 2026, from 14:00 to 20:00, the Department of Traffic Safety within the Ministry of Interior conducted an enhanced action control throughout the country, targeting drivers who commit improper overtaking violations.
During the control, a total of 194 violations for improper overtaking were detected, and appropriate measures were taken in accordance with the law.
A further 367 other types of violations were detected during the control.
The Ministry of Interior will continue conducting enhanced traffic controls throughout the country and appeals to drivers to respect traffic rules and regulations, refrain from risky manoeuvres, and overtake only when permitted and safe to do so, in order to protect their own safety and that of all other road users.
