Today (August 21, 2026), from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the Mobile Traffic Safety Unit within the Traffic Affairs Sector conducted a traffic enforcement operation in the Čair municipality of Skopje, targeting drivers of mopeds, motorcycles, quadricycles and light electric vehicles who failed to comply with traffic rules and regulations.
During the operation, a total of 43 traffic violation measures were imposed. Of these, 19 sanctions were issued to motorcycle riders for operating without protective helmets, three measures were issued for driving with an inappropriate category of licence, 19 sanctions concerned violations committed by light electric vehicle riders, and two additional measures were imposed on other road users.
Appropriate reports were filed against all traffic violators.
Traffic controls will continue in the coming period. We appeal to all road users to consistently comply with traffic rules and regulations. Only through responsible behaviour can we collectively contribute to safer roads.
