On 29/30 July 2026 in Skopje, at various locations, police officers from the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector (SVR Skopje) deprived F.S. (42), D.K. (22), D.A. (38), A.P. (33), A.J. (30), A.V. (24), and a 17-year-old, all from Skopje, a 16-year-old from the village of Blace (Skopje area), and J.K. (19) from the village of Studeničani (Skopje area) of their liberty after white powdery substance and marijuana were found and seized from them. Upon full documentation of the cases, appropriate charges will be filed.
On 29 July 2026 at 3:15 p.m., SVR Skopje received a report of a traffic accident on "Metodija Andonov Chento" Street in Skopje involving a Citroën passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates, driven by A.J. (60) from the village of Ržaničino (Skopje area), and a motorcycle with Skopje registration plates driven by B.A. (28) from the village of Singelić (Skopje area). The motorcyclist sustained serious bodily injuries, confirmed at the Emergency Center of the "Mother Teresa" Clinical Complex in Skopje. A police inspection was conducted by an SVR Skopje investigative team.
SVR Štip filed criminal charges against A.A. (19) and E.M. (28) from Štip on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "participation in a fight." On 4 March 2026, following a prior argument in Štip, the suspects physically assaulted A.O. in his home, inflicting serious bodily injuries.
On 29 July 2026 at 3:37 p.m., SVR Bitola received a report that at the intersection of "Filip Vtori Makedonski" Street, "1 Maj" Boulevard, and "Jane Sandanski" Street in Bitola, a Kia passenger vehicle with Dutch registration plates, driven by U.M. (39), a Ukrainian national with temporary residence in Bitola, struck D.V. (55) from Bitola. The pedestrian sustained serious bodily injuries, confirmed at the Bitola hospital. A police investigation was conducted by an SVR Bitola investigative team.
On 29 July 2026 at 7:56 p.m., the Prilep Police Department (OVR Prilep) received a report that on the Prilep–Bitola main road, D.M. (70) from Prilep lost control of his Tomos moped with Prilep registration plates and fell onto the roadway. He sustained serious bodily injuries, confirmed at the General Hospital in Prilep. A police inspection was carried out.
SVR Štip filed criminal charges against V.B. (55) from Kočani on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "dissemination of racist and xenophobic material via a computer system." During May, June, and July 2026, through two profiles on a social media platform, the suspect posted six comments on four different posts promoting and inciting hatred and violence.
On 29 July 2026 at 2:45 p.m., OVR Prilep received a report of a traffic accident at the intersection of "Trizla" Street, "Goran Minoski" Street, and "11 Oktomvri" Street in Prilep involving a Volkswagen passenger vehicle with Kavadarci registration plates driven by Z.B. (52) from Kavadarci, a Mercedes truck with Prilep registration plates driven by S.T. (39) from the village of Malo Konjari (Prilep area), and a Suzuki passenger vehicle with Prilep registration plates driven by D.A. (27) from Prilep. The Volkswagen driver, Z.B., sustained serious bodily injuries, confirmed at Prilep General Hospital. A police inspection was conducted.
On 29 July 2026 at 3:18 p.m. on Oktomvriska Revolucija Boulevard in Kumanovo, police officers from SVR Kumanovo arrested M.K. (49) from the village of Dobrošane (Kumanovo area). During a traffic stop, officers determined that he was driving an Opel passenger vehicle with Kumanovo registration plates while under the influence of alcohol, measuring 1.91‰ blood alcohol concentration. On 29 July 2026 at 9:00 p.m. on Jovo Stefanoski Rile Street in Struga, police officers from OVR Struga arrested S.Ǵ. (30) from the Republic of Albania after marijuana was found and seized from him. On 29 July 2026 at approximately 12:10 p.m. in the village of Studeničani (Skopje area), police officers from SVR Skopje arrested O.R. (28) from Studeničani. During a traffic stop of a Volkswagen Golf with Skopje registration plates, officers established that he was driving without a valid driver's license. Appropriate legal action will follow.
On 29 July 2026 at 9:45 p.m., police officers from SVR Veles arrested E.Dž. (45) from Veles after marijuana was found and seized from him. He was detained at a police station, the public prosecutor was notified, and charges will be filed after the case is documented.
OVR Debar filed criminal charges against E.Š. (49) from Debar on suspicion of committing the offense of "providing public transportation without a license." During a traffic inspection on 24 June 2026 on Elena Gjika Street in Debar, police stopped a Škoda passenger vehicle with Debar registration plates driven by the suspect and established that he was transporting passengers commercially without the required license.
On 29 July 2026 at 7:10 p.m. on Vardarska Street, police officers from SVR Veles arrested H.B. (61) from Veles. During a traffic stop, officers established that he was driving a Seat Altea with Veles registration plates while under the influence of alcohol, recording 2.20‰ blood alcohol concentration. He was detained, the vehicle was confiscated, the public prosecutor was informed, and appropriate charges will follow.
On 29 July 2026 at 11:15 p.m., police officers from SVR Ohrid arrested R.M. (33) from Ohrid following a report that he had physically assaulted a family member in the family home. Appropriate charges will be filed after the investigation.
On 29 July 2026 at 4:05 p.m., police officers from SVR Veles arrested A.J. (29) from a village in the Veles region after his 30-year-old wife reported that he had psychologically abused her over a prolonged period and, on 26 July 2026, physically assaulted her in their home and took her mobile phone. He was detained, the public prosecutor and the Veles Center for Social Work were notified, and appropriate legal action will follow.
OVR Struga filed criminal charges against B.M. (27) from Skopje on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "bodily injury." At a campsite on the Struga lakeshore, he physically assaulted his girlfriend, causing her bodily injuries.
On 29 July 2026 at 4:00 p.m. on Gorno Lisiče Street in Skopje, police officers from SVR Skopje arrested H.V. (19) from Skopje. During a traffic stop, officers established that he was operating a motorcycle with Skopje registration plates without a driver's license. Appropriate legal action will follow.
On 29 July 2026 at 3:40 p.m., SVR Skopje received a report from the Idrizovo Correctional Institution that at approximately 1:15 p.m., during a search of the women's ward, marijuana had been found and seized from inmate E.J. (42). Appropriate legal action will follow.
On 29 July 2026 at 2:40 p.m., A.K. (38) from Skopje reported that on 28 July 2026 at around 9:00 p.m., in a park in the Municipality of Aerodrom, following a misunderstanding during a game, his minor son had been physically assaulted by another minor. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On 29 July 2026 at 9:06 p.m., J.P. (23) from Sveti Nikole reported that at approximately 9:00 p.m., in the Gazi Baba area of Skopje, he was physically assaulted by two individuals. Measures are being taken to solve the case.
The Vinica External Office for Criminal Affairs filed criminal charges against P.Z. (31) from Vinica on suspicion of committing the offense of "causing general danger." On 12 January 2026, the suspect fired several shots with a firearm at an elementary school in Vinica, damaging part of the school's property. During a subsequent search of his home, police found and seized a rifle, a suppressor, ammunition magazines, 192 airgun pellets, and other items.
On 29 July 2026 at 7:53 p.m., SVR Skopje received a report of a fire in an auxiliary building on Metodija Andonov Chento Street in Skopje, owned by L.P. (45) from Skopje. Firefighters from the Skopje Fire Brigade extinguished the fire. No one was injured. A police inspection was conducted.
On 30 June 2026 at 9:30 a.m., SVR Skopje received a report that in the Karpoš area of Skopje, following a dispute over a parking space, public order and peace had been disturbed by a physical altercation between S.M. (44) from Skopje on one side and A.N. (23) and T.N. (55), both from Skopje, on the other. Upon completion of the investigation, appropriate legal action will follow.
On 29 July 2026 at 2:20 p.m., M.D. (36) reported to SVR Skopje that at around 1:00 p.m., in the Šuto Orizari area of Skopje, an individual stole her handbag containing cash and personal jewelry. Measures are being taken to identify the perpetrator.
SVR Štip filed criminal charges against N.A. (25) and R.J. (27) from Kočani, and N.A. (22) from Kavadarci, on suspicion of committing the offense of "unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and precursors." On 30 May 2026, at the Kadrifakovo toll station, after noticing a police patrol, the third suspect swallowed a larger quantity of heroin. Examination at the University Clinic for Toxicology confirmed the presence of a substantial quantity of heroin in her body.

(36) from the village of Volkovo (Skopje area) reported that on 28 July 2026 at approximately 9:00 p.m., he was physically assaulted in the yard of his home by several individuals. (34) from Volkovo reported that on the same date and time, following a prior disagreement, his minor son had been physically assaulted by neighbor N.P. (36). SVR Strumica filed criminal charges against S.F. (21) on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "rape of a child under the age of 15." On 24 June 2026, the suspect had sexual intercourse with a 12-year-old girl.
On 30 July 2026 at 12:45 a.m., A.A. (33) from Skopje reported to SVR Skopje that at around 12:40 a.m., in a casino in the Municipality of Aerodrom, he was physically assaulted by D.K. (41) from Skopje, who was employed as a security guard at the casino. Appropriate legal action will follow after the case is documented.
On 30 July 2026 at 1:30 a.m. on Indira Gandhi Street in Skopje, police officers from SVR Skopje arrested M.K. (30) and A.M. (40), both from Skopje. Officers observed M.K. throwing away a bag containing marijuana. When officers attempted to conduct checks, he assaulted a police officer and attempted to flee but was apprehended and arrested.
