Excerpt from some of the daily events 29.07.2026

On 28 July 2026, at different locations in Skopje, police officers from the Skopje Police Department deprived N.M. (45), J.E. (29), and S.D. (29), all from Skopje, of their liberty after marijuana and a white solid substance were found and confiscated from them. After the case is fully documented, appropriate charges will follow.

On 28 July 2026 at 10:40 a.m., at the “Skopje International Airport” Border Crossing, upon entering the country, police officers deprived B.J. (38), a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye, of his liberty because during passport control and border checks it was established that he was registered in the operational records with an “arrest” measure issued at the request of the Sector for International Police Cooperation – Search Unit of the Skopje Police Department. The person was handed over to police officers from the Petrovec Police Department for further proceedings.

The Tetovo Police Department filed a criminal complaint against J.M. (49) from the village of Balindol, Gostivar area, due to reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “endangering security.” On 9 June 2026, the reported person allegedly made threats against the life of his wife, with whom he is in divorce proceedings.

On 28 July 2026, around 2:30 p.m., the Skopje Police Department was informed that a traffic accident had occurred at the intersection of a service road and the Skopje–Tetovo regional road, involving a passenger vehicle “Ford” with Skopje registration plates, driven by S.S. (67) from the village of Arnakija, Municipality of Saraj, and an electric scooter ridden by a nine-year-old child from the same village. The child sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at the Emergency Center of the “Mother Teresa” Clinical Complex in Skopje. An inspection was carried out by an investigation team from the Skopje Police Department.

On 28 July 2026 at 6:30 p.m., at the Sveti Naum Border Crossing, upon entering the country, police officers deprived F.J. (56), a citizen of Syria, of his liberty. During passport control and border checks, it was established that he had presented a forged Syrian driver’s license. The person was handed over to police officers from the Department for Cross-Border Crime, Migration, Foreigners and Readmission at the Western Regional Center for Border Affairs for further proceedings.

On 28 July 2026 at 12:30 p.m., on Berovska Street in Skopje, police officers from the Skopje Police Department deprived B.F. (24) from Skopje of his liberty. During traffic control, police officers stopped a passenger vehicle “Volkswagen Golf” with Skopje registration plates, which he was driving, and checks established that he was operating the vehicle without a driver’s license. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate submission will follow.

The External Office for Criminal Affairs Struga filed a criminal complaint against N.M. (40) from Struga due to reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “bodily injury.” On 8 July 2026, in a catering establishment in Struga, the reported person physically assaulted his wife, with whom he is in divorce proceedings.

On 28 June 2026 at 4:20 p.m., on Pero Nakov Street in Skopje, police officers from the Skopje Police Department deprived S.Š. (18) from Skopje of his liberty. During traffic control, police officers stopped a passenger vehicle “Peugeot” with Skopje registration plates, which he was driving, and checks established that he was driving without possessing a driver’s license. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate submission will follow.

On 28 July 2026 at 2:35 p.m., at the Tetovo Police Department, E.H. (30) from Kumanovo reported that an explosive device had been thrown into the yard of his house on Bajram Shabani Street in Kumanovo. An inspection was carried out by a team from the Kumanovo Police Department, and the explosive device was found on the terrace of the house, while a safety handle, believed to be from the same device, was found in the yard. The Explosive Ordnance Detection and Disposal Unit of the Ministry of Interior safely removed the explosive device for further processing. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

The Tetovo Police Department filed a criminal complaint against A.R. (46) from the village of Kamenjane, Tetovo area, due to reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “preventing an official person from performing official duties.” On 3 May 2026, on the Tetovo–Pirok local road, the reported person behaved aggressively and made threats toward a police officer who was carrying out official duties.

On 28 July 2026 at 1:30 p.m., on Bosnia and Herzegovina Street in Skopje, police officers from the Skopje Police Department deprived Š.A. (51) from Skopje of his liberty. During traffic control, police officers stopped a passenger vehicle “Volkswagen Golf” with Skopje registration plates, which he was driving, and checks established that he was driving without possessing a driver’s license. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate submission will follow.

On 28 July 2026 at 7:50 p.m., in the village of Raven, Gostivar area, police officers from the Gostivar Internal Affairs Unit deprived E.O. (29) from Raven of his liberty. Previously, around 6:35 p.m., after a brief argument in front of a catering establishment in the village, a physical altercation occurred between him and T.M. (21), also from the same village, during which he injured T.M. with a sharp object. A public prosecutor was informed about the event, and an inspection of the scene was carried out by a team from the Gostivar Internal Affairs Unit. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate criminal complaint will follow.

The Tetovo Police Department filed a criminal complaint against S.Ѓ. (41) from Ohrid due to reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “fraud.” The reported person allegedly deceived a married couple by promising to assist them in obtaining a work visa for a foreign country.

On 28 July 2026 at 3:00 p.m., on Prilep Defenders Street in Prilep, police officers from the Prilep Internal Affairs Unit deprived D.S. (37) and R.S. (45), both from Prilep, of their liberty because, during a search, marijuana was found and confiscated from R.S. After the event is fully documented, an appropriate submission will follow.

On 29 July 2026 at 4:00 a.m., police officers from the Kumanovo Police Department deprived A.S. (28) from the village of Gorno Kojnare, Kumanovo area, of his liberty because marijuana was found in his possession. He was detained at a police station and, after the case is fully documented, an appropriate criminal complaint will be filed against him.

On 29 July 2026 at around 2:40 a.m., the Radovish Internal Affairs Unit was informed that a traffic accident had occurred on the municipal road between the villages of Kalugerica and Podareš, in the area of the village of Podareš. The accident involved a passenger vehicle “Volkswagen Golf” with Radovish registration plates, driven by M.T. (51) from the village of Oraovica, Radovish area, and a tractor with a trailer, driven by G.M. (56) from the village of Podareš. The tractor passengers F.I. (39) and A.I. (41), both from Radovish, sustained serious bodily injuries, while Đ.I. (70) from Radovish sustained bodily injuries, all confirmed at the Clinical Hospital in Štip. An inspection was carried out by an investigation team from the Radovish Internal Affairs Unit. It was determined that the driver of the passenger vehicle, M.T., was driving under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol level of 1.17 promille. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate submission will follow.

On 28 July 2026 at 9:50 a.m., police officers from the Gostivar Internal Affairs Unit deprived G.K. (39) from Gostivar of his liberty. He is suspected of committing the criminal offense of “theft” of a wallet the previous day on Mladen Gruevski Street in Gostivar. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate submission will be filed against him.

The Kocani Internal Affairs Unit filed a criminal complaint against B.V. (49) from Kocani due to reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “endangering security.” The reported person allegedly physically assaulted N.N.

On 28 July 2026 at 2:30 p.m., on the local road to the village of Plasnica, Municipality of Makedonski Brod, police officers from the Makedonski Brod Internal Affairs Unit deprived A.M. (28) from Plasnica of his liberty. Previously, he had participated in a traffic accident while driving a “Mercedes” vehicle with Makedonski Brod registration plates, and during the inspection it was established that he was driving without possessing a driver’s license. After the event is documented, an appropriate submission will follow.

On 28 July 2026 at 11:30 p.m., police officers from the Strumica Police Department deprived a 27-year-old man from a village in the Strumica area of his liberty, acting on a previous report that at around 10:00 p.m. he had physically assaulted his 62-year-old father in the family home. The person was detained at the Strumica Police Station, and a public prosecutor from the Strumica Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office was informed. After the case is documented, an appropriate criminal complaint will be filed.

On 28 July 2026 at 11:30 p.m., on Pero Švarc Street in Kumanovo, police officers from the Kumanovo Police Department deprived D.S. (30) from Kumanovo of his liberty. During traffic control, police officers stopped a passenger motor vehicle “BMW” with Kumanovo registration plates, driven by D.S., and established that he was driving despite having an active driving ban. After the event is fully documented, an appropriate criminal complaint will be filed against him.

The Tetovo Police Department filed a criminal complaint against S.R. (52) from the village of Kamenjane, Municipality of Bogovinje, due to reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “fraud.” The reported person allegedly defrauded an individual of 5,150 euros by promising to assist in obtaining entitlement to a caregiver allowance for his wife, as well as securing social housing.

On 28 July 2026 at 9:30 p.m., in the village of Urvič, based on a court order, police officers from the Kamenjane Police Department detained A.N. (43) from the same village. He was wanted for serving a prison sentence for a criminal offense under Article 202 in connection with Article 45 of the Criminal Code. The person was escorted and handed over to the Tetovo Prison Institution to serve the sentence.

On 29 July 2026 at 1:25 a.m., in the village of Bogovinje, Tetovo area, police officers from the Kamenjane Police Department deprived Š.K. (56) from the village of Kalište, Municipality of Vrapčište, of his liberty. During traffic control, police officers stopped a passenger motor vehicle “Škoda” with Gostivar registration plates, which he was driving, and established that he was operating the vehicle without a driver’s license. The vehicle was confiscated, and after the case is documented, an appropriate submission will follow.

On 28 July 2026 at 8:40 p.m., the Kriva Palanka Internal Affairs Unit was informed that on a road at a location known as “Golem Most,” in the area of the village of Kostur, Kriva Palanka area, a passenger vehicle “Lada Niva” with Kriva Palanka registration plates, driven by G.A. (48) from Kriva Palanka, hit a rock and overturned on the road. The driver sustained injuries, which were confirmed at a private hospital in Skopje. An inspection was carried out by an investigation team from the Kriva Palanka Internal Affairs Unit.

The Prilep Internal Affairs Unit filed a criminal complaint against G.C. (53) from the village of Čepigovo, Prilep area, due to reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “causing general danger.” On 21 July 2026, in the village of Čepigovo, the reported person allegedly set fire to dry grass between two houses, causing the fire to spread to 150 bundles of alfalfa.

On 28 July 2026 at 10:35 p.m., on Dabnička Street in Prilep, police officers from the Prilep Internal Affairs Unit deprived B.A. (29) from Prilep of his liberty. During traffic control, police officers stopped a “Seat” vehicle with Kičevo registration plates, driven by B.A., and established that he was driving without possessing a driver’s license. After the event is documented, an appropriate submission will follow.

On 29 July 2026 at 1:10 a.m., at the Tetovo Police Department, a 32-year-old woman from Tetovo reported that at around 6:30 p.m. she had been physically assaulted in front of the building where she lives in Block 70 by her boyfriend B.I. from Tetovo. This morning, he voluntarily reported himself to the police station, and after the case is fully documented, an appropriate criminal complaint will be filed against him.

On 29 July 2026 at 12:30 a.m., on Partizanska Street in Struga, police officers deprived E.A. (36) from Struga of his liberty. Previously, while driving a passenger vehicle “Opel Vectra” with Struga registration plates, he caused a traffic accident. Following measures taken by police officers, it was established that he had 2.50 promille alcohol in his blood, after which he was immediately excluded from traffic. The vehicle was confiscated, and after the case is fully documented, an appropriate criminal complaint will be filed against him.

On 28 July 2026 at 6:50 p.m., police officers from the Veles Police Department deprived I.A. (27) from Gradsko of his liberty, acting upon a previous report that he had physically assaulted his 22-year-old unmarried partner in the family home and threatened her with a sharp object. He was detained at a police station, a public prosecutor was informed, and after the case is documented, an appropriate submission will be filed against him.

On 28 July 2026 at 8:30 a.m., on the regional road between the Čaška settlement and the village of Drenovo, near the location known as “Vranovska Crossroads,” police officers from the Veles Police Department deprived I.J. (27) from Skopje of his liberty. During traffic control, police officers stopped a “Volkswagen Transporter” cargo vehicle with Tetovo registration plates, driven by I.J., and after checks were carried out it was established that he was driving the vehicle before obtaining the legal right to drive. A public prosecutor was informed, and the vehicle was confiscated. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate criminal complaint will follow.

The Tetovo Police Department filed a criminal complaint against V.D. (46) from Tetovo due to reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “serious bodily injury.” On 6 June 2026, in his home in Tetovo, the reported person allegedly struck A.A. (54) from Tetovo with the entrance door and caused injuries.

On 28 July 2026 at 4:15 p.m., police officers from the Veles Police Department deprived I.A. (36) from Rosoman of his liberty, acting upon a previous report from his 35-year-old wife that he had been psychologically harassing and threatening her over a longer period, with the latest incident occurring on 28 July 2026. He was detained at a police station, a public prosecutor was informed, and after the case is documented, an appropriate submission will be filed against him.

On 29 July 2026 at 12:47 a.m., at the Skopje Police Department, a 32-year-old woman reported that, after a previous argument, she had been physically assaulted in the family home by her unmarried partner L.A. from Kosovo. Measures are being taken to fully clarify the case.

On 28 July 2026 at 6:20 p.m., at the Skopje Police Department, R.T.Ѓ. (61) from Skopje reported that at around 1:30 p.m. at her workplace in the building of the Electricity Company of North Macedonia (ESM) in the Center municipality area of Skopje, she had been physically assaulted by her colleague J.N. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 28 July 2026 at 2:30 p.m., at the Skopje Police Department, a 24-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, both from the Skopje area, reported that they had been defrauded by H.D. of amounts of 923,000 denars and 1,390,000 denars respectively. According to the report, H.D. convinced them to invest money in cryptocurrencies. They transferred the money through an exchange office, after which they received email notifications stating that the funds had been deposited. When they decided to withdraw the money and the profit, the 24-year-old was told that he could not do so without H.D.’s approval, while the 20-year-old was told that the emails were false. They then realized that they had been deceived. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 28 July 2026 at 8:04 p.m., at the Skopje Police Department, M.Z. (49) from Skopje reported that at 7:50 p.m. in the Kisela Voda area of Skopje, he had been physically assaulted by his neighbor S.G. (79), who also used a metal object. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate submission will follow.

On 28 July 2026 at 3:00 p.m., at the Skopje Police Department, A.D. (49) from Skopje reported that on 27 July 2026 around 6:00 p.m., at a playground in the Aerodrom Municipality area, his minor son had been physically assaulted by another minor. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 28 July 2026 at 8:50 p.m., at the Skopje Police Department, F.K. (60) from the village of Aračinovo, Skopje area, reported that at around 8:40 p.m. he heard a gunshot in the yard of the family house in the village, after which he noticed that the hood of a parked passenger vehicle “Volkswagen Golf,” owned by his son M.K., had been damaged. An inspection was carried out by an investigation team from the Skopje Police Department, and the bullet was collected for further proceedings.

On 28 July 2026 at 11:50 p.m., at the Skopje Police Department, S.J. (24) from the village of Gorobinci, Sveti Nikole area, reported that at around 11:15 p.m. he had been physically assaulted by several people at a go-kart track in the village of Volkovo, Skopje area. Measures are being taken to fully clarify the case
