On 27 June 2026, at various locations in Skopje, police officers from the Skopje Police Department arrested E.M. (34) and a 17-year-old juvenile, both from Skopje, after marijuana was found and seized from them. Upon full documentation of the cases, appropriate legal submissions will follow.
The Struga Police Department filed criminal charges against N.S. (42) from a village in the Struga area on suspicion of committing the criminal offence of neglect and abuse of a child under Article 201, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code. During the night of 8/9 June 2026, the suspect allegedly left her two minor children sleeping in her vehicle while she was at work. Acting in coordination with a public prosecutor, police officers located the children asleep inside the parked vehicle in a dirt parking lot on Vlado Maleski Street in Struga.
The Struga Police Department also filed criminal charges against Č.D. (35) from the village of Šum, Struga area, on suspicion of committing the criminal offence of violence against a child under Article 201-a of the Criminal Code. On 15 May 2026, at around 12:00 p.m., on a local road in the village of Zagračani, the suspect physically assaulted a 10-year-old child from the same village.
On 28 June 2026, at 12:13 a.m., the Tetovo Police Department received a report that in Gostivar, an unidentified person driving an SUV fired several shots from a firearm before leaving toward the town centre. No injuries were reported. At around 2:10 a.m., A.M. (65) from Gostivar voluntarily reported to the Gostivar Police Station. A Beretta pistol, legally possessed under a permit, one magazine containing eight rounds, and one empty magazine were seized from him. Upon completion of the investigation, appropriate charges will be filed.
On 27 June 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at the intersection of Vidoe Smilevski Bato Street and 29 Noemvri Street in Tetovo, police officers arrested N.B. (65), a citizen of the Republic of Albania, on suspicion of committing the criminal offence of fraud under Article 247 of the Criminal Code. The arrest followed a report filed the previous day by a 67-year-old man from Tetovo, who stated that he had been deceived by a woman falsely presenting herself as a university professor. Over the previous three months, he had lent her €3,400 after she claimed her daughter had been injured in a traffic accident in France and urgently needed money for medical treatment. Following completion of the investigation, an appropriate legal submission will be filed.
On 27 June 2026, at 1:00 p.m., police officers from the Criminal Police Unit of the Kičevo Police Department arrested M.Z. (23) from Kičevo. During a court-authorized search of his home, officers found and seized a cultivated cannabis plant, cannabis residue, and residue of a powdery substance. Appropriate charges will be filed upon completion of the investigation.
On 27 June 2026, at 7:30 p.m., in the Aerodrom municipality of Skopje, police officers arrested H.M. (24) from the village of Gradec, Kriva Palanka, following a report that he had crashed his vehicle into the vehicle of A.A. from Skopje and subsequently threatened him. Appropriate legal action will follow after the case is fully documented.
On 27 June 2026, at 10:30 a.m., E.L. (55) from Skopje reported that on 26 June 2026, at around 6:30 p.m., his minor son had been physically assaulted by four individuals in the Bit Pazar area of Skopje. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On 27 June 2026, at 2:10 p.m., U.R. (25) from Skopje reported that he had been physically assaulted in the village of Gorno Lisiče by Z.Z. (68) from Skopje, who also threatened him with a sharp object. Appropriate legal action will follow upon completion of the investigation.
On 28 June 2026, the Bitola Police Department received a report that an unexploded grenade had been found in a field near the village of Kukurečani, Bitola area. The Protection and Rescue Directorate was notified to safely remove the explosive device.
On 27 June 2026, at 9:30 p.m., police officers from the Bitola Police Department arrested Dž.R. (33) and S.I. (33), both from Bitola, after marijuana was found in their possession. Appropriate legal action will follow after the case is documented.
On 27 June 2026, at 10:25 a.m., at the Tabanovce Border Crossing, on entry into the country, police officers arrested K.A. (47), a citizen of the Czech Republic, who arrived driving a Roller Team motorhome. During the inspection, marijuana and other items were found inside the vehicle. Appropriate criminal charges will be filed upon completion of the investigation.
On 27 June 2026, at 6:00 a.m., in the Karpoš municipality of Skopje, police officers arrested V.E. (50), following a report that he had threatened his 41-year-old neighbour. Appropriate legal action will follow after the case is fully documented.
On 27 June 2026, at around 11:00 a.m., the Skopje Police Department received a report that following a previous argument, public order had been disturbed in the Karpoš municipality by a physical altercation between Gj.K. (66) and N.K. (61) on one side, and B.K. (41), F.K. (18), and A.K., all from Skopje, on the other. Appropriate legal action will follow upon completion of the investigation.
On 27 June 2026, at 11:30 p.m., I.S. (25) from the village of Batinci, Skopje area, reported that she and her minor daughter had been physically assaulted in the Gazi Baba municipality by K.R. (21) from Veles and R.R. (25) from Kumanovo. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 27 June 2026, at 3:30 p.m., R.R. (25) from Kumanovo reported that he had been physically assaulted in the Gazi Baba municipality by B.U. (28) from Skopje. Appropriate legal action will follow after the case is fully documented.
On 27 June 2026, at 3:23 p.m., the Skopje Police Department received a report of a fire in the village of Novo Selo, Skopje area, which burned agricultural fields and an auxiliary building housing domestic animals. The fire was extinguished by the Skopje Fire Brigade. No injuries were reported.
On 28 June 2026, at 4:05 a.m., the Skopje Police Department received a report that a Range Rover passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates, owned by S.B. (54) from Skopje, had been set on fire in the Centar municipality. The fire was extinguished by the Skopje Fire Brigade. No injuries were reported. A scene investigation was carried out, and measures are being taken to fully clarify the case.
