On 26/27 June 2026 in Skopje, at various locations, police officers from the Skopje Police Department arrested A.J. (26), M.J. (24), M.T. (37), and M.P. (20), all from Skopje, after marijuana, a white powdery substance, and tablets were found and confiscated from them. After the cases are fully documented, appropriate charges will be filed.
On 26 June 2026 at approximately 4:00 p.m., it was reported to the Skopje Police Department that on Partizanski Odredi Boulevard, before the intersection with Angel Dinev Street in Skopje, a 52-year-old female passenger, S.Z., fell inside a bus while being transported. She sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at the Mother Teresa Clinical Complex. A police investigation was carried out by officers from the Skopje Police Department.
On 26 June 2026 at 4:40 p.m., it was reported to the Skopje Police Department that a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Partizanski Odredi Boulevard, Nikola Parapunov Street, and Demir Trajko Street in Skopje between a Mercedes passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates, driven by Z.I. (66) from the village of Dolno Svilare (Skopje area), and an Aprilia motorcycle with Skopje registration plates, ridden by L.A. (28) from Skopje. The motorcyclist sustained serious bodily injuries, confirmed at the Mother Teresa Clinical Complex. A police investigation was conducted by the Skopje Police Department.
On 26 June 2026 at 5:50 p.m., it was reported to the Bitola Police Department that on the Gradsko–Prilep main road, near the village of Oreovec, a Mercedes truck with a trailer, bearing Bitola registration plates and driven by S.A. (58) from Bitola, veered off the road. The driver, S.A., died in the accident. Death was confirmed by an emergency physician from Prilep Emergency Medical Services. By order of a public prosecutor, the body was sent for an autopsy, and the scene was examined by officers from the Bitola Police Department.
On 26 June 2026 at approximately 2:00 p.m., H.I. (27) from the village of Crn Vrv, Municipality of Studeničani, reported to the Skopje Police Department that he had been physically assaulted in the Bit Pazar area by S.I. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On 26 June 2026 at 5:40 a.m., at the Deve Bair Border Crossing, while entering the country, police officers arrested H.J.E. (44) from Turkey, who was driving a Renault truck with a semi-trailer, after border control determined that he had presented forged Green Cards (international motor insurance certificates). He was detained at the Kriva Palanka Police Station, after which criminal charges were filed against him on suspicion of committing the offense of document forgery.
On 26 June 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in Prilep, police officers from the Prilep Police Department arrested I.P. (25) from Prilep. During a court-authorized search of his home, a powdery substance was found. After the case is documented, appropriate charges will follow.
On 26 June 2026 at 10:20 a.m., a 43-year-old man from Gostivar reported the criminal offense of fraud to the Gostivar Police Station. According to the report, about four months earlier, through a friend, he came into contact with I.J. from Skopje. During a meeting in Skopje, the suspect promised to obtain a driver's license without requiring him to take the driving test, requesting €1,300 and a copy of his identity card. The victim paid him a total of €1,200 on several occasions, but after never receiving the promised driver's license, realized he had been defrauded. Measures are being taken to resolve the case.
Also on 26 June 2026 at 10:20 a.m., a 67-year-old man from Tetovo reported that he had been defrauded by a woman from the village of Negotino (Polog region), who falsely presented herself as a university professor. During the previous three months, he had lent her €3,400, after she claimed her daughter had been injured in a traffic accident in France and urgently needed money for medical treatment. He later learned that he had been deceived and reported the incident to the police. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
The Struga Police Department filed criminal charges against A.D. (39), A.D. (46), both from the village of Radolišta, and one juvenile from the village of Frangovo, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of violence against a child under Article 201-a of the Criminal Code. On 3 May 2026, at around 6:00 p.m., in the schoolyard of an elementary school in Struga, the suspects physically assaulted two minors, causing them bodily injuries.
On 27 June 2026 at 1:30 a.m., police officers from the Veles Police Department arrested I.S. (47) from Veles on suspicion of stealing a wristwatch belonging to M.A. (46) from Skopje from a Renault Megane with Skopje registration plates on Aleksandar Makedonski Street in Gradsko. The stolen watch was recovered from the suspect and returned to its owner. Following documentation of the case, appropriate charges will be filed.
On 27 June 2026 at 1:40 a.m., at the city stadium in Štip, police officers arrested D.T. (26) from Skopje for physically assaulting a police officer. Appropriate charges will follow after the case is fully documented.
On 26 June 2026 at 1:00 p.m., J.D. (35) from Štip reported that on 25 June 2026, at around 3:00 p.m., she had been physically assaulted in the yard of her home by M.A. and his wife M.A. Measures are being taken to clarify the incident.
On 26 June 2026 at approximately 11:30 p.m., it was reported to the Skopje Police Department that T.F. (65) from Skopje had been found dead in his home in the Karpoš area. An emergency physician confirmed death without visible signs of violence. A police investigation was conducted, and, on the instructions of the public prosecutor, the body was sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy.
On 26 June 2026 at 2:00 p.m., V.P. (64) from Gevgelija reported to the Gevgelija Police Station that at approximately 9:00 a.m., while operating a tractor on farmland in Gevgelija owned by a legal entity, he unearthed an old aircraft shell. The Directorate for Protection and Rescue was notified to safely remove the explosive device.
On 26 June 2026 at 4:00 p.m., it was reported to the Strumica Police Department that on Steve Naumov Street in Strumica, V.K. (40) from Strumica, while driving a Volkswagen Passat with Strumica registration plates, crashed into three parked vehicles: a Peugeot, a Citroën, and a Ford, all with Strumica registration plates. V.K. sustained serious bodily injuries, confirmed at the Strumica Medical Center. During the investigation, it was established that V.K. did not possess a driver's license. Appropriate charges will follow.
On 26 June 2026 at 9:20 p.m., a 30-year-old woman from Strumica reported that she had been attacked with a sharp object by I.A. (female) in front of her home following an argument involving their children. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On 26 June 2026 at 11:30 p.m., a 46-year-old man from Gevgelija reported that at around 10:00 p.m., his minor son, who had been with friends, was physically assaulted by an individual on Sava Mihajlov Street in Gevgelija. Measures are being taken to identify the perpetrator and resolve the case.
On 26 June 2026 at 2:00 p.m., F.Ć. (35) from the village of Nova Maala, Strumica region, reported that he and his brother had been physically assaulted in the yard of their family home by E.N. and his two sons, all from the same village. Measures are being taken to clarify the incident.
At approximately 7:30 p.m. on 26 June 2026, the Radoviš Police Department received a report of a physical altercation on Kaluzliska Street in Radoviš between Dž.Dž. (27) and M.Dž. (30) on one side, and T.T. (48) and S.T. (51) on the other, all from Radoviš. Appropriate charges will be filed after the case is documented.
On 26 June 2026 at 10:30 p.m., the Gevgelija Police Station received a report from the Mother Teresa Clinical Complex in Skopje that S.P. (32) from Skopje had been transported there by emergency medical services from Gevgelija after suffering injuries from an electric shock while carrying out work on a weekend house in the village of Nikolić, Municipality of Dojran, owned by A.N. from the village of Kadino.
