Today (24.07.2026) at 00:20, in the area of Karpoš in Skopje, police officers from the Intervention Police Unit of the Skopje Police Department detained T.P. (40) and A.P. (40), both from Skopje, after marijuana and a white lump-like substance were found and seized from them. After the case is fully documented, appropriate charges will be filed against them.
The Department for Internal Control, Criminal Investigations and Professional Standards at the Ministry of Interior submitted a criminal complaint to the Debar Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office against A.Š. and A.P. on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “forgery of documents.”
The first reported person, A.Š., a police officer at the Blato Border Crossing and Border Surveillance Police Station, during 2025 placed a Macedonian license plate from another moped onto a moped with Swiss registration documents, for which customs procedures had not been completed and for which he did not possess other documentation allowing it to be driven legally in the country. He later sold the moped to the second reported person, citizen A.P., who was aware that the moped had no other documentation. On 18.06.2026, police officers stopped the moped and seized it together with the registration document. The Department for Internal Control also submitted a proposal to initiate disciplinary proceedings against A.Š. for violation of work order and discipline.
On 23.07.2026 at 08:10, the Skopje Police Department received a report that a traffic accident had occurred on Street “8” in the settlement of Ilinden, Skopje area, involving four passenger vehicles:
- a Toyota with Skopje registration plates, driven by V.K. (42) from Ilinden;
- a Volkswagen Golf with Skopje registration plates, driven by D.D. (18) from Skopje;
- a Citroën with Skopje registration plates, driven by N.V. (32) from the village of Miladinovci, Skopje area;
- a Fiat with Skopje registration plates, driven by S.P.S. (51) from Skopje.
In the accident, the Toyota driver and his passenger R.K. (65) from Skopje sustained serious bodily injuries. The other passenger T.K. (36) from Skopje, the Volkswagen Golf driver, his 17-year-old passenger from Skopje, and N.V. (32) from the Citroën sustained bodily injuries. The injuries were confirmed at the Mother Teresa Clinical Center Emergency Department, the “St. Naum Ohridski” Public Health Institution, and the “8 September” City General Hospital in Skopje.
A police inspection team from the Skopje Police Department carried out an investigation at the scene.
On 23.07.2026 around 22:30, the Skopje Police Department received a report that on Washingtonska Street in Skopje, R.O. (62) from Skopje, while driving a BMW passenger vehicle with Belgian registration plates, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a yard fence and into pedestrian J.D. (44) from Skopje. The vehicle then struck two parked vehicles in the yard — a Volkswagen Passat with Skopje registration plates and an Opel with Skopje registration plates, both owned/parked by J.D.
The pedestrian sustained serious bodily injuries, while the driver R.O. sustained bodily injuries. The injuries were confirmed at the “St. Naum Ohridski” Public Health Institution and the Mother Teresa Clinical Center Emergency Department in Skopje. A police inspection team from the Skopje Police Department carried out an on-site investigation.
The Skopje Police Department – Unit for Economic and Computer Crime filed a criminal complaint against I.K. (69) from Skopje on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “giving a false statement.”
With the intention of concealing the real reason for obtaining a new vehicle registration document, the person submitted a false written statement claiming that his registration document had been lost, although it had previously been confiscated by a City of Skopje traffic inspector during a regular inspection.
On 24.07.2026 around 01:40, the Skopje Police Department received a report that a traffic accident occurred on the Skopje–Dolno Blace Border Crossing main road between:
- a Kia passenger vehicle with Kosovo registration plates, driven by K.C. (33) from Kosovo;
- a Volkswagen Golf passenger vehicle with Kosovo registration plates, driven by S.J. (61) from Kosovo.
Both drivers and the passengers in the Volkswagen Golf — S.J. (54) and E.J. (20) — sustained serious bodily injuries. Passengers B.H. (23) and B.I. (35) from the Volkswagen Golf sustained bodily injuries. All injured persons are from Kosovo.
The injuries were confirmed at the “8 September” City General Hospital and the Mother Teresa Clinical Center Emergency Department in Skopje.
By order of a public prosecutor, the driver of the Kia, K.C., will be detained after being released from hospital. A police inspection team from the Skopje Police Department carried out an investigation.
The External Office for Criminal Affairs in Vinica filed a criminal complaint against G.A. (51) from Vinica on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “preventing an official person from performing official duties.”
On 31.05.2026, on Macedonian Street in Vinica, the reported person used physical force to prevent a police officer from carrying out official actions.
On 23.07.2026 at 03:30, the Prilep Police Department received a report that in the village of Krušeani, Prilep area, G.M. (54) from the same village, while driving a motorcycle without registration plates, lost control and went off the road.
The driver sustained serious bodily injuries, confirmed at Prilep General Hospital.
Following an order from a public prosecutor, a police inspection team from the Prilep Police Department carried out an investigation and determined that G.M. was under the influence of alcohol, with 1.70 per mille alcohol in his blood.

The External Office for Criminal Affairs in Berovo filed a criminal complaint against V.G. (48) from the Berovo area on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “endangering security.”
On 06.05.2026 in Berovo, the person acted aggressively and attempted to attack police officers performing their duties with a sharp object.
On 24.07.2026 at 00:35, the Ohrid Police Department received a report that on “First Macedonian Strike Brigade” Street in Ohrid, a 15-year-old minor from Ohrid, while driving a moped with Ohrid registration plates, lost control and went off the road.
The minor and his 17-year-old female passenger, both from Ohrid, sustained serious bodily injuries confirmed at the “St. Erasmus” Special Hospital in Ohrid.

The Bitola Police Department filed a criminal complaint against J.B.S. (37) from Bitola on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors.”
During November and December 2025, the reported person illegally obtained amphetamine and resold it to users in Bitola. During a search, amphetamine was found and seized from her.
On 23.07.2026 at 08:01, the Tetovo Police Department received a report that in the village of Brvenica, Tetovo area, a passenger vehicle struck K.J. (22) from Brvenica and fled the scene.
The pedestrian sustained serious bodily injuries confirmed at Tetovo Clinical Hospital.
A police inspection team from the Tetovo Police Department carried out an investigation, and measures are being taken to locate the driver and fully clarify the case.
On 23.07.2026 around 12:20, the Tetovo Police Department received a report that on Ilindenska Boulevard in Tetovo, E.S. (50) from Tetovo, while driving a moped with Tetovo registration plates, fell onto the roadway.

The Štip Police Department filed a criminal complaint against D.T. (26) from Skopje on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “assaulting an official person while performing security duties.”
On 27.06.2026 at the City Stadium in Štip, during a music event, the reported person physically attacked a police officer who was performing official duties.
On 23.07.2026 at 09:04, the Kočani Police Department received a report from Emergency Medical Assistance Kočani that T.J. (55) from Kočani, an employee of the public utility company “Vodovod” Kočani, had been brought in with serious bodily injuries.
According to the report, T.J. suffered the injuries after falling from a height at around 08:00 on Lazar Andonov Street in Kočani while performing work duties on the bridge over the Kočani River.
A public prosecutor and labor inspector were informed, and a police inspection team from the Kočani Police Department carried out an investigation.

On 02.07.2026 in Štip, the reported persons attempted to enter the home of an 85-year-old woman, falsely presenting themselves as police officers. They were stopped and reported by a neighbor who suspected their intentions.

During border control, officers determined that U.J., who arrived driving a DAF truck with Turkish registration plates, was operating the vehicle despite an active ban preventing him from driving category C and E motor vehicles on the territory of the country.

Sveti Nikole? (Correction: SVR Strumica – OVR Radoviš) submitted a criminal complaint to the Strumica Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office against a 26-year-old resident of a village in the Radoviš area on reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of:
- “rape of a child under 15 years of age” under Article 188; and
- “extramarital life with a child” under Article 197 of the Criminal Code.
From 2025 until 23.07.2026, in a village in the Radoviš area, in the home of the parents of the minor girl with whom he lived in an extramarital relationship, the reported person allegedly committed sexual acts against her several times despite knowing she was under 15 years old.

The Bitola Police Department filed a criminal complaint against M.T. (47) from Bitola on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “abuse of official position and authority.”
The reported person, as manager of a legal entity from the village of Novaci, on 29.05.2023 and 29.12.2023 concluded temporary service contracts related to public procurement for a total period of 19 months with an employee whose employment relationship in the company had been suspended since 02.05.2023.
This was done despite the company already having two employees with valid public procurement certificates.
In this way, the person caused damage to the legal entity’s budget in the amount of 549,060 denars.
On 23.07.2026 at 11:45, in the village of Injevo, Radoviš area, police officers from SVR Strumica – OVR Radoviš detained N.S. (70) from the same village.
According to the report, at around 10:30, he burned waste in his yard, causing a fire that spread to the yard of a neighboring house owned by M.S.
The fire was extinguished by the Radoviš Territorial Firefighting Unit, and there were no injured persons.

On 23.07.2026 at 20:15, police officers from the Strumica Police Department detained a 61-year-old resident of a village in the Strumica area.
According to the report, at around 17:20, in a village in the Strumica area, he behaved aggressively toward his 58-year-old wife.
