Excerpt from some of the daily events 27.07.2026

On 26/27.07.2026 at 1:20 p.m. in Skopje, police officers from the Skopje Police Department arrested L.M. (19), L.A. (23), Z.B. (51), Sh.B. (51), and I.V. (45), all from Skopje, after white powder, brown powder, and marijuana were found and seized from them at different locations throughout the city. Upon full documentation of the cases, appropriate charges will be filed.

The Tetovo Police Department filed a criminal complaint against A.M. (42) from the village of Dzhepchishte, Tetovo, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "violence." On 01.03.2026, in the area of the village of Dzhepchishte, the suspect threatened Z.M. with sharp objects and damaged his tractor.

On 25.07.2026 at 2:00 p.m., it was reported to the Skopje Police Department that a traffic accident occurred on the Sopishte–Gorno Sonje road, near Skopje, involving an Iveco truck with Skopje registration plates, driven by S.Sh. (31) from the village of Batinci, and a bicycle ridden by M.J. (38) from Skopje. The cyclist sustained serious bodily injuries, confirmed at the Emergency Center of the Mother Teresa Clinical Complex in Skopje. A police investigation was conducted by officers from the Skopje Police Department.

On 27.07.2026 at 2:25 a.m., on Nikola Karev Street in Vinica, police officers from the Vinica Police Department arrested T.S. (52) from Vinica. During a traffic stop, officers stopped a Peugeot passenger vehicle with Vinica registration plates and determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol concentration of 1.51‰ (per mille). Upon full documentation of the case, appropriate charges will be filed against him.

The Kavadarci Police Department filed a criminal complaint against B.K. (32) from Kavadarci on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and precursors." On 07.03.2026, police officers searched a Peugeot passenger vehicle driven by the suspect and found and seized cocaine.

On 27.07.2026 at approximately 1:35 a.m., the Štip Police Department received a report that at the intersection of Sremski Front Street and Solidarnost Street in Štip, a passenger, N.A. (21) from Štip, fell out of the open window of an Audi passenger vehicle with Štip registration plates, driven by B.S. (22) from Štip. N.A. sustained serious bodily injuries, confirmed at the Clinical Hospital in Štip. A police investigation was carried out by officers from the Štip Police Department, and measures are being taken to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.

The Regional Center for Border Affairs East filed a criminal complaint against A.D. (37) from Turkey on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "document forgery." At the Deve Bair Border Crossing, the suspect presented a forged Green Card (international motor insurance certificate) for the truck he was driving.

On 26.07.2026 at 2:45 p.m., the Bitola Police Department received a report that on the Bitola–Pelister regional road, I.Gj. (41) from Bitola, while operating an all-terrain vehicle (quad bike), lost control and overturned. She sustained serious bodily injuries, confirmed at the hospital in Bitola. A police investigation was conducted by officers from the Bitola Police Department.

The Ohrid Police Department filed a criminal complaint against N.J. (32) from the village of Chiflik, Kočani region, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and precursors." On 23.08.2025, police officers searched the suspect on Macedonia Quay in Ohrid and found and seized marijuana from him and from the place where he was staying in Ohrid. Police also searched his family home in the village of Chiflik, where additional marijuana was found and seized.

On 26.07.2026 at 8:30 p.m., the Tetovo Police Department was informed by the Tetovo Clinical Center that M.Z. (27) from Tetovo had been admitted with serious bodily injuries. In a statement to police officers, he said that at around 7:00 p.m., while in the yard of their home, his uncle S.Z. (61) from Tetovo accidentally ran over his leg while reversing a passenger vehicle, causing the injuries. M.Z. requested that no charges be filed because he considered it to have been an accident. Police officers responded to the scene.

On 26.07.2026 at 10:20 p.m. and on 27.07.2026 at 1:30 a.m., police officers from the Kumanovo Police Department arrested F.B. (23) and I.M. (39), both from Kumanovo, after marijuana was found and seized during searches of their persons. They were taken to a police station, and upon full documentation of the cases, appropriate charges will be filed against them.

On 26.07.2026 at 1:10 p.m. in Mavrovi Anovi, police officers from the Mavrovo Police Unit arrested E.S. (18) from Gostivar. During a traffic stop, officers stopped a motorcycle with Gostivar registration plates that he was riding and determined that it was unregistered and that he was driving without a valid driver's license. The motorcycle was confiscated, and appropriate charges will be filed after the case is fully documented.

On 26.07.2026 at 6:30 a.m., in front of a casino on Abas Emin Street in Ohrid, police officers from the Ohrid Police Department arrested K.G. (28) from Slovenia, acting on a previous report that, in the apartment where they were staying in Ohrid, he had behaved aggressively and physically assaulted his 21-year-old girlfriend. The Basic Court in Ohrid ordered him into eight days of pre-trial detention, and he was transferred to Ohrid Prison to serve the detention measure.

On 26.07.2026 at 9:30 p.m. in the village of Krivogashtani, Municipality of Krivogashtani, police officers arrested a 16-year-old juvenile from the village of Aldanci, Kruševo area. During a traffic check, officers stopped a Mercedes vehicle driven by the juvenile and determined that he was driving without a driver's license. Appropriate charges will be filed after the incident is fully documented.

On 26.07.2026, on Ilindenska Street in Tetovo, police officers from the Tetovo Police Department arrested V.A. (26) from the village of Kopance, Municipality of Jegunovce, after marijuana was found and seized during a search. Upon completion of the case documentation, appropriate charges will be filed against him.

On 27.07.2026 at 12:05 a.m. (the original text mistakenly states "27.07.026"), on Kuzman Josifoski Street in Prilep, police officers from the Prilep Police Department arrested M.B. (39) from Prilep. During a traffic stop, officers stopped a motorcycle with Skopje registration plates driven by M.B. and determined that he was driving without a valid driver's license. Appropriate charges will be filed after the case is documented.

The Tetovo Police Department filed a criminal complaint against R.A. (45) from the village of Čiflik, Tetovo area, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "endangering security." On 09.04.2026, following an earlier argument, the suspect threatened his father. After investigative measures were taken and a search of his home was conducted, police officers found and seized a "Zoraki" pistol, for which he did not possess the required permit.

On 26.07.2026 at 11:00 a.m., on Goce Delčev Boulevard in Prilep, police officers from the Prilep Police Department arrested B.S. (35) from Prilep. During a traffic stop, officers stopped a motorcycle with Prilep registration plates driven by B.S. and determined that he was driving without a valid driver's license. Appropriate charges will be filed after the incident is documented.

On 26.07.2026 at 7:45 p.m., on the Tetovo–Jazhince regional road, in the village of Dobroshte, police officers from the Tearce Police Unit arrested R.I. (53) from the village of Slatino, Tetovo area. During a traffic stop, officers stopped a Mercedes passenger vehicle with Tetovo registration plates driven by him and determined that he was driving without a driver's license. The vehicle was confiscated, and appropriate charges will be filed after the case is documented.

The Ohrid Police Department filed a criminal complaint against D.S. (25) from Ohrid on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and precursors." On 03.06.2025, police officers searched the suspect and found and seized marijuana both on his person and at his home.

On 26.07.2026 at approximately 10:00 p.m. in the village of Studeničani, near Skopje, police officers from the Skopje Police Department arrested D.M. (49) from the village of Dobrino, Municipality of Zelenikovo. During a traffic stop, officers stopped a Volkswagen Golf with Skopje registration plates driven by him and determined through checks that he was driving without a valid driver's license. Upon full documentation of the case, appropriate charges will be filed.

On 26.07.2026 at 11:00 p.m., on Braća Blaževski Street in Gostivar, police officers from the Gostivar Road Traffic Safety Unit arrested a 16-year-old juvenile from Gostivar. He was driving an unregistered moped without having passed the driver's test and had been involved in a traffic accident. The moped was confiscated, and appropriate charges will be filed after the case is documented.

The Bitola Police Department filed a criminal complaint against M.M. (21) from Bitola on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and precursors." During a search of the suspect, police officers found and seized marijuana.

 

On 26.07.2026 at 2:40 p.m. in Skopje, police officers from the Skopje Police Department arrested S.I. (34) from Skopje, acting on a prior report filed by his 61-year-old mother, who stated that at around 9:30 p.m. on 25.07.2026, he had physically assaulted her at their family home. Upon full documentation of the case, appropriate charges will be filed.

The Debar Police Department filed a criminal complaint against E.A. (42) from the village of Dzepište, Debar area, on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of "usurpation of real property" and "illegal construction." During May 2026, on a state-owned cadastral parcel in the same village, contrary to the provisions of the Construction Law and without authorization from the competent state authority, he unlawfully installed a concrete foundation and enclosed it with metal fencing.

On 25.07.2026 at 5:52 p.m., A.S. (59) from Skopje reported to the Skopje Police Department that at approximately 5:40 p.m., she had been physically assaulted in her family home by M.P. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 26.07.2026 at 2:00 p.m., M.K. (49) from Skopje reported to the Skopje Police Department that at around 1:20 p.m., in the Karpoš area of Skopje, she had been physically assaulted by one female and one male person. Measures are being taken to fully clarify the case.

The Kičevo Police Department filed a criminal complaint against E.Dž. (53) from the village of Zajas, Kičevo area, and against his legal entity headquartered in Kičevo, on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of "usurpation of real property" and "illegal construction." On a state-owned cadastral parcel in Kičevo, contrary to the provisions of the Construction Law and without authorization from the competent state authority, he unlawfully constructed a commercial building.

On 27.07.2026 at 12:15 a.m., a 25-year-old man from Kriva Palanka reported to the Skopje Police Department that at around 9:00 p.m. on 26.07.2026, he had been physically assaulted in a residential building in Skopje by his 31-year-old wife from Štip, from whom he was in the process of divorcing. Later, at 2:30 a.m., the 31-year-old woman reported that at around 9:00 p.m. on 26.07.2026, in a building in Skopje, she had been physically assaulted by her 25-year-old husband. Measures are being taken to fully clarify the case.

The Tetovo Police Department filed a criminal complaint against D.M. (27), A.Gj. (25), and I.K. (30), all from the village of Saraćino, Tetovo area, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "violence." On 13.04.2026, in a hospitality establishment in the village of Saraćino, the suspects physically assaulted R.Gj.

On 26.07.2026 at 11:10 p.m., it was reported to the Skopje Police Department that public order and peace had been disturbed by a physical altercation in a hospitality establishment in the Aerodrom area of Skopje between S.M. (25) and F.M. (23), both from the village of Kadino, Skopje area, on one side, and G.M. (55) from Skopje on the other. Upon full documentation of the case, appropriate legal actions will be taken.

The Tetovo Police Department filed a criminal complaint against H.Z. (37) from the village of Gorno Sedlarce, Tetovo area, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and precursors." On 27.07.2025, police officers searched the suspect and found and seized marijuana.

On 26.07.2026 at 11:00 p.m., a 55-year-old woman from Skopje reported to the Skopje Police Department that at around 6:10 p.m., while in a park in the Saraj Municipality area, she had been physically assaulted by her partner, G.P. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 27.07.2026 at 1:48 a.m., S.Z. (58) from Skopje reported to the Skopje Police Department that at around 9:05 p.m. on 26.07.2026, following a prior misunderstanding, he had been physically assaulted by a 17-year-old from Skopje at a gas station in the Čair area of Skopje. Upon full documentation of the case, appropriate legal action will be taken.
