On 21/22 August 2026, in Skopje, at different locations, police officers from the Skopje Police Department detained two minors aged 13 and 17 from Skopje and B.S. (19) from Struga after brown solid substance and marijuana were found and seized from them. Following the full documentation of the cases, appropriate charges will be filed.

On 21 August 2026 at 4:40 p.m., a traffic accident involving a Volkswagen Golf, a Volkswagen Tiguan and a motorcycle occurred on Radishanska Street in Skopje. The 24-year-old motorcyclist from Skopje sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at the Emergency Center of the Mother Teresa Clinical Complex in Skopje. An on-site inspection was carried out by a team from the Skopje Police Department.

On 21 August 2026 at 10:40 p.m., police officers from the Kumanovo Police Department detained D.M. (37) from Kumanovo after marijuana was found and seized from him. Following the full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 21 August 2026 at 3:55 p.m., a traffic accident involving an Opel passenger vehicle and a motorcycle occurred on Ibrahim Kolari Street in Debar. The 58-year-old motorcyclist sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at the Debar Medical Center. An on-site inspection was carried out by a team from the Debar Police Station.

On 22 August 2026 at 1:55 a.m., on Gjorgje Petrov Street in Kumanovo, police officers detained D.A. (39) from Kumanovo. During a traffic check, the motorcycle he was riding was stopped and it was established that he was under the influence of alcohol, with 1.52 per mille of alcohol in his blood. He was immediately taken out of traffic and, following instructions from a public prosecutor, was taken to a police station. After the case is fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed against him.

On 21 August 2026 at 2:30 p.m., a traffic accident was reported on the Ohrid–Kičevo main road, where a Volkswagen Golf driven by a 56-year-old man from Ohrid left the road and overturned. He sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at the St. Erasmus Special Hospital in Ohrid. An on-site inspection was carried out by a team from the Ohrid Police Department.

On 21 August 2026 at 7:10 p.m., in a village in the Ohrid area, police officers from the Ohrid Police Department detained T.P. (33) from Skopje after he physically assaulted a family member in a rented apartment. Following the full documentation of the incident, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 21 August 2026 at 4:30 p.m., a traffic accident was reported on a mountain road in the village of Korito, Gostivar area, where F.A. (23) from the village of Zhelino, Tetovo area, lost control of a quad bike and overturned. The driver sustained serious bodily injuries, while his 28-year-old passenger sustained bodily injuries. The injuries were confirmed at the hospital in Gostivar. An on-site inspection was carried out by a team from the Gostivar Police Station.

On 22 August 2026 at 1:45 a.m., on a local road in the village of Misleshevo, Struga area, police detained I.M. (55) from Ohrid. During a traffic check, police officers established that he was driving a Mercedes with Ohrid registration plates without having passed a driving test. Following instructions from a public prosecutor, the vehicle was seized and, after the case is fully documented, a criminal complaint will be filed against I.M. under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code, “Reckless Driving of a Motor Vehicle.”

On 21 August 2026 at 2:00 p.m., a 66-year-old woman from a village in the Berovo area reported that her 15-year-old grandson, for whom she is the legal guardian, had behaved aggressively toward her and threatened her, and that several days earlier he had physically assaulted her and damaged part of the household property. The Berovo Center for Social Work was notified and measures are being taken to clarify the case, after which an appropriate report will follow.

On 21 August 2026 at 10:00 p.m., M.M. (60) from Skopje reported that on 18 August 2026 at around 10:00 p.m., her niece A.S. (42) from Skopje, a person with health problems, had left her home and had not returned. Measures are being taken to locate her.

The Bitola Police Department filed a criminal complaint against I.Gj. (48) from Prilep on reasonable grounds of suspicion of committing the criminal offence of “Unauthorized Production and Distribution of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Precursors.” On 18 August 2026 in Prilep, police officers searched the suspect’s home, where cannabis plants were found and seized.

On 21 August 2026 at 8:40 p.m. in Dolno Lisiche, Skopje area, police officers from the Skopje Police Department detained I.N. (52) from Skopje. During a traffic check, police stopped a Mazda passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates that he was driving and established that he was under the influence of alcohol, with 1.61 per mille of alcohol in his blood. Following the full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will follow.

On 21 August 2026 at 7:45 a.m. in Kochani, police officers from the Kochani Police Station detained S.M. (27) from Kochani after marijuana was found and seized from him. Following the full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will follow.

On 21 August 2026 at 7:10 p.m. in Veles, police officers from the Veles Police Department detained F.A. (41) from Veles following a previous report that she had physically assaulted her 70-year-old father at their home. A public prosecutor was notified and, following the documentation of the incident, an appropriate criminal complaint will be filed.

On 21 August 2026 at 6:25 p.m. on Risto Sekirchanec Street in Prilep, police officers from the Prilep Police Station detained M.D. (27) from Prilep. During a traffic check, police stopped a moped with Prilep registration plates driven by M.D. and established that he was driving without a driving licence. Following the full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will follow.

On 21 August 2026 at 5:00 p.m. on Alija Avdovik Street in Skopje, police officers from the Skopje Police Department detained S.K. (48) from Skopje. During a traffic check, police stopped a Mercedes passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates that he was driving and established that he was driving without a driving licence. Following the full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will follow.

The Štip Police Department filed a criminal complaint against R.R. (20) from Strumica on reasonable grounds of suspicion of committing the criminal offences of “Forgery of a Document” and “Use of a Document with False Content.” The suspect altered a vehicle registration document for a Volkswagen Golf and subsequently used the forged document at the Štip Police Department.

On 21 August 2026 at 5:30 p.m., police officers from the Kavadarci Police Station conducted an official interview with S.S. (29) from Kavadarci, following a previous report by a 32-year-old woman from Kavadarci that he had threatened members of her family with a metal object. Following the documentation of the incident, an appropriate report will be filed against him.

On 21 August 2026 at 7:15 p.m. on Ivan Hadji Nikolov Street in Skopje, police officers from the Skopje Police Department detained M.Z. (35) from the village of Ljuboten, Skopje area. During a traffic check, police stopped an Audi passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates that he was driving and established that he was driving without a driving licence. Following the full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will follow.

On 21 August 2026 at 11:30 a.m., D.A. (52) from Skopje reported that on 17 August 2026 at around 9:45 p.m., in the Center area of Skopje, he had been physically assaulted by a person following a previous misunderstanding over a parking space. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 21 August 2026 at 11:00 a.m., a 62-year-old man from the Skopje area reported that on 20 August 2026 at around 10:30 p.m., following a previous argument at the family home, he had been physically assaulted by his son, who also damaged part of the household property. Following the full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will follow.

On 21 August 2026 at 8:00 p.m., at the intersection of Kiro Gligorov Boulevard and 15 Corps Boulevard in Skopje, police officers from the Skopje Police Department detained J.J. (41) from Skopje. Earlier, while driving a Fiat passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates, he had been involved in a traffic accident and left the scene. Following measures taken and checks carried out, it was also established that he had run a red light, was under the influence of alcohol and behaved aggressively toward police officers while they were performing their official duties. Following the full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will follow.

On 22 August 2026 at 8:00 a.m., a 25-year-old man from Skopje reported that at around 4:30 a.m. in the Bit Pazar area of Skopje, he had been physically assaulted by his brother A.I. Following the full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will follow.

The Department for Cross-Border Crime, Migration, Foreigners and Readmission at the Regional Center for Border Affairs – South filed a criminal complaint against S.R. (59) from Latvia on reasonable grounds of suspicion of committing the criminal offence of “Migrant Smuggling.” On 17 August 2026 in the village of Bogorodica, police officers inspected a Fiat Tipo passenger vehicle driven by him and found 10 migrants from Egypt, seven of whom were children.

On 21 August 2026 at 11:10 p.m. at the Kochani Police Station, police officers detained I.M. (42) from Kochani following a previous report by his 18-year-old son that he had physically assaulted him at their family home after a brief argument. Following the full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will follow.

On 21 August 2026 at 4:15 p.m. in Gostivar, police officers detained V.A. (30) from the Tetovo area after she physically assaulted her mother-in-law. She was detained at a police station and, following the full documentation of the case, an appropriate report will be filed against her.

On 22 August 2026 at 3:47 a.m., M.B. (37) from Skopje reported that at around midnight in the Gazi Baba area of Skopje, her minor son had been physically assaulted by M.B. and M.N., both from the Keramidnica neighborhood, Skopje area. Measures are being taken to fully clarify the case.
