Excerpt from some of the daily events 15.08.2026

On August 14, 2026, at 6:50 a.m., the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector (SVR Skopje) was notified that a traffic accident had occurred on the Skopje–Veles regional road, specifically in the village of Trubarevo, Skopje area. The accident involved a passenger vehicle, a “Hyundai” with Skopje registration plates, driven by 41-year-old B.J., and a bicycle ridden by V.D. (70), both from Skopje. The cyclist sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at the Emergency Center of the “Mother Teresa” Clinical Complex in Skopje. An inspection was carried out by an SVR Skopje inspection team.

On August 14, 2026, at 12:12 p.m., the Vinica Internal Affairs Department (OVR Vinica) was notified that at approximately 11:40 a.m., on the road section from the village of Istibanja toward Kalimanci Dam, at a location known as “Draka,” a motorcycle with Delchevo registration plates, driven by O.Š. (18) from Delchevo, had left the roadway. The driver and his passenger, Đ.E. (24) from the village of Trabotivishte, Delchevo area, sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at the General Hospital in Kočani. A public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Kočani was notified, and an inspection was carried out by an OVR Vinica inspection team.

On August 14, 2026, at 4:35 p.m., the Struga Internal Affairs Department (OVR Struga) was notified of a traffic accident on the Struga–Ohrid regional road involving a passenger vehicle, a “Hyundai” with Ohrid registration plates, driven by A.I. (44) from Ohrid, and a passenger vehicle, a “Seat” with Struga registration plates, driven by D.M. (39) from Struga. The driver of the “Hyundai,” A.I., sustained serious bodily injuries, while his passengers—44-year-old S.I., U.I. (24), and a 15-year-old, all from Ohrid, as well as 27-year-old A.S.I. from Germany—sustained bodily injuries. The other driver, D.M., also sustained bodily injuries. The injuries were confirmed at the “St. Erasmus” Special Hospital in Ohrid. A public prosecutor was notified, and an inspection was carried out by an OVR Struga inspection team.

On August 14, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., SVR Skopje was notified of a traffic accident on Partizanski Odredi Boulevard in Skopje involving a passenger vehicle, a “BMW” with Skopje registration plates, driven by 39-year-old M.J. from the village of Šishevo, Skopje area, and a passenger vehicle, a “Citroën” with Skopje registration plates, driven by M.A. (62) from Skopje. The driver M.A. sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at the Emergency Center of the “Mother Teresa” Clinical Complex in Skopje. An inspection was carried out by an SVR Skopje inspection team.

The Delchevo External Office for Criminal Affairs filed a criminal complaint against J.T. (48) from Štip on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “fraud.” In July 2021, the suspect allegedly defrauded an individual from whom he obtained 2,580 tons of plums and, up to the time the complaint was filed, had not paid for them, thereby obtaining unlawful financial gain of 50,000 denars.

SVR Kumanovo filed a criminal complaint against A.N. (18) from Kumanovo and a 16-year-old person from the Republic of Austria on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “causing hatred, discord or intolerance on national, religious or other discriminatory grounds.” On July 26, 2026, at a building housing a cultural and artistic association in Kumanovo, the suspects allegedly wrote graffiti containing offensive content.

On August 14, 2026, at various locations in Skopje, police officers from SVR Skopje arrested A.S. (66) and K.R. (29), both from Skopje, after marijuana was found in their possession and confiscated. Following the completion of the documentation of the cases, appropriate charges will be filed against them.

Today (August 15, 2026), at 12:35 a.m., at the Dolno Blace Border Crossing, while exiting the country, police officers arrested N.K. (40) from Kosovo because, during a border check and a review of operational records, it was established that he was subject to an “arrest” measure. The person was handed over to a police station for further proceedings.

On August 14, 2026, at 9:40 a.m., police officers from SVR Ohrid arrested T.D. (34) from a village in the Ohrid area, acting on a previous report that she had physically assaulted her 72-year-old mother-in-law at the family home. Following the completion of the documentation, an appropriate submission will be filed.

On August 14, 2026, at various locations in Ohrid, police officers from SVR Ohrid detained two people, S.J. (23) from the Republic of Serbia and T.G. (25) from Skopje. A white powdery substance was found in the possession of one of them, while the other was caught consuming marijuana. Following the completion of the documentation of the cases, appropriate charges will be filed against them.

On August 14, 2026, at midnight, the Kočani Internal Affairs Department (OVR Kočani) was notified by a doctor from the Kočani Emergency Medical Service that on August 13, 2026, at approximately 7:15 p.m., following a call from F.A. (55) from the village of Ulartsi, Municipality of Češinovo–Obleshevo, an emergency medical team had gone to his home to provide medical assistance to his mother. However, according to the report, upon arriving at the scene it was established that F.A. had abused the emergency call, behaved improperly, and made threats toward the medical personnel. Following completion of the documentation, an appropriate submission will be filed.

On August 14, 2026, at 8:20 p.m. in Gevgelija, police officers from SVR Strumica–OVR Gevgelija arrested D.I. (51) from Gevgelija. At approximately 8:15 p.m. in Gevgelija, he allegedly behaved aggressively toward police officers who were performing their official duties and at one point physically attacked one of them. He was detained at Gevgelija Police Station. A breathalyzer test established that he was under the influence of alcohol, with a measured blood-alcohol level of 1.69‰. A public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Gevgelija was notified, and following completion of the documentation, an appropriate criminal complaint will be filed against D.I.

On August 14, 2026, at 7:50 p.m., at Toplik Dam in Gevgelija, police officers from SVR Strumica–OVR Gevgelija arrested P.A. (30) from Gevgelija. During a search, a white powdery substance was found in his possession. A public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Gevgelija was notified, and following completion of the documentation, an appropriate submission will be filed.

On August 14, 2026, at 10:30 p.m. in Gevgelija, police officers from SVR Strumica–OVR Gevgelija arrested K.Č. (35) and M.P. (36), both from Strumica. During a search of a “Škoda” passenger vehicle with Strumica registration plates, driven by K.Č., in which M.P. was a passenger, marijuana was found. A public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Strumica was notified, and following completion of the documentation, an appropriate submission will be filed.

SVR Tetovo filed a criminal complaint against V.K. (53) from Tetovo and J.A. (27) from the village of Tsvetovo, Skopje area, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “destruction or damage to public installations.” On March 28, 2026, the first suspect, as the responsible person of a legal entity, allegedly hired the second suspect to operate an excavator during construction works on an overpass above Marshal Tito Street in Tetovo. During excavation work, the second suspect damaged and severed an optical cable owned by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

On August 14, 2026, at 10:00 p.m., police officers from the Demir Kapija Police Office arrested G.S. (46) from a village in the Demir Kapija area, acting on a previous report that he had threatened his 41-year-old wife at their home, physically assaulted his 23-year-old son, and damaged household property. A public prosecutor was notified. He was taken to a medical facility, and following completion of the documentation, an appropriate submission will be filed.

On August 14, 2026, at 2:15 p.m., police officers from Tetovo Police Station arrested I.D. (44) from Tetovo. They were acting on a previous report by his 41-year-old wife that, following a verbal argument, he had physically assaulted her and also made verbal threats against her. The woman sustained bodily injuries, and he allegedly prevented her from seeking medical assistance. He was detained at a police station, and following completion of the documentation, an appropriate submission will be filed against him.

On August 14, 2026, at 3:15 p.m., police officers from Tetovo Police Station arrested M.R. (50) from Tetovo. His 51-year-old wife and daughter reported that, following an argument with three unknown persons in the yard, M.R. physically assaulted his wife and threatened them with consequences if they reported him to the police. He was detained at a police station, and following completion of the documentation, an appropriate submission will be filed.

On August 14, 2026, at 11:00 p.m., on Ilindenska Street in Tetovo, police officers from Tetovo Police Station arrested Š.I. (52) from Tetovo, acting on a previous report by his son A.I. (26), who reported that Š.I. had threatened him with a sharp object. He was detained at a police station, and following completion of the documentation, an appropriate submission will be filed.

On August 15, 2026, at 4:05 a.m., on Ilindenska Street in Gostivar, police officers from Gostivar Police Station arrested Lj.S. (46) and R.D. (43), both from the village of Čegrane. During a search of a “Golf” vehicle driven by Lj.S., a bag containing a white powdery substance was found under the passenger seat. They were detained at a police station, and following completion of the documentation, an appropriate submission will be filed.

On August 14, 2026, at 11:30 p.m., SVR Skopje was notified by the Skopje Inter-Municipal Center for Social Work that at approximately 9:30 p.m. in the Municipality of Aerodrom in Skopje, their 16-year-old ward had been physically assaulted by two persons whom he knew. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

Today (August 15, 2026), at 3:33 a.m., M.D.O. (36) from Turkey reported to SVR Skopje that at approximately 3:30 a.m., in front of a nightclub in Skopje City Park, he had been physically assaulted by two security guards. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

Today (August 15, 2026), at 12:30 a.m., A.S. from Kosovo reported to SVR Skopje that on August 14, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m., in a parking area in the Čair area, following a previous disagreement concerning a debtor-creditor relationship, he had been physically assaulted by Š.B. (32) from Skopje, who allegedly used a hard object. Following completion of the documentation, an appropriate submission will be filed.

On August 13, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., a 35-year-old woman from Skopje reported to SVR Skopje that she had been defrauded of approximately 200,000 denars. According to the report, in July 2026, the woman was contacted by telephone by a female who offered her comprehensive (“casco”) insurance for her passenger vehicle and told her that, in return, she would receive a larger amount of money, specifically a premium. After the woman paid the full amount in several installments but did not receive active comprehensive insurance coverage, she realized that she had been defrauded. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On August 14, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., a 52-year-old woman from Skopje reported to SVR Skopje that at approximately 11:00 a.m., following a previous verbal argument at the family home, she had been physically assaulted by her 75-year-old mother, who had health problems. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

Today (August 15, 2026), at 1:00 a.m., a 33-year-old woman from the Skopje area, Municipality of Gazi Baba, reported to SVR Skopje that at approximately 7:00 p.m. at the family home, she had been physically assaulted by her husband, E.S. (42) from Skopje. According to the report, she had previously been subjected to psychological and physical abuse by him. Police officers conducted an interview with E.S., and following completion of the documentation, an appropriate criminal complaint will be filed.

On August 14, 2026, at 8:20 p.m., J.M. (79) from Skopje reported to SVR Skopje that on August 13, 2026, at approximately 5:50 p.m., in front of a retail establishment in the Karpoš area, an unknown person used physical force to push her to the ground and steal her personal jewelry. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On August 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., SVR Skopje was notified that in the Karpoš area, following a previous disagreement concerning a pet dog, public order and peace had been disturbed by a physical altercation between V.K. (67) and A.N. (27), both from Skopje. Following completion of the documentation, appropriate submissions will be filed.

On August 14, 2026, at 10:50 p.m. in Skopje, police officers from SVR Skopje detained L.M. (23), E.A. (20), A.M. (19), and N.T. (18), acting on a previous report that in the Šuto Orizari area they had forcibly given marijuana to a minor girl. After the minor told her family, public order and peace were disturbed by a physical altercation between the detained persons, on one side, and A.F. (42), Z.R. (38), A.N. (23), and A.R. (19), all from Skopje, on the other side. Following completion of the documentation, appropriate submissions will be filed.

On August 14, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., B.B. (35) from Skopje reported to SVR Skopje that on August 13, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m., at a playground in the Kisela Voda area, his minor daughter had been physically assaulted with a plastic bottle by two minors. After her parents arrived at the scene, the minors ran into the yard of a neighboring woman’s house, where the complainant detained the minors. He was subsequently physically assaulted by B.C. (46) from Skopje, the father of one of the minors.

B.C. reported that at approximately 10:00 p.m. in the yard of a house in Kisela Voda, his minor son and his son’s friend had been physically assaulted by B.B., after one of the minors had previously accidentally struck a minor girl with a plastic bottle. In addition, A.H. (45) from Skopje reported that on August 13, 2026, at approximately 10:15 p.m. in Kisela Voda, his minor son had been physically assaulted by B.B. Following measures taken by SVR Skopje, the reported incidents were clarified. Appropriate submissions will be filed after the documentation is completed.
