Excerpt from some of the daily events 15.08.2026

On 13/14 August 2026 in Skopje, at different locations, police officers from the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector (SVR Skopje) arrested A.J. (37) and a 15-year-old girl, both from Skopje, because marijuana and a grinder were found and confiscated from them. After the cases have been fully documented, appropriate charges will be filed against them.

On 13 August 2026 at 18:40, at the Tabanovce Border Crossing, at the entrance into the country, police officers arrested J.S. (24) from the Czech Republic. During a search and inspection of his personal luggage, several packages containing a white substance were found and confiscated.

The person and the packages were handed over to police officers from SVR Kumanovo and, after the case has been fully documented, an appropriate criminal report will be filed against him.

SVR Tetovo filed a criminal report against a legal entity from Tetovo and Z.H. (37) from the village of Veshala, Tetovo area, the owner and manager of the legal entity, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “tax evasion.” During an inspection carried out at the legal entity, in the presence of the second reported person, it was established that they were engaged in the business of renting all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) without previously concluding rental agreements with clients.

On 13 August 2026 at 17:20 in Skopje, police officers from SVR Skopje arrested an 18-year-old from the village of Cvetovo, Skopje area. During a traffic inspection on Ivan Hadzi Nikolov Street, police officers stopped a Volkswagen Tiguan with Skopje registration plates and established that the person was driving the vehicle before obtaining the legal right to drive. A public prosecutor was informed of the incident, and after the case has been fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed.

The Delchevo External Office for Criminal Affairs filed a criminal report against N.M. (51) from the Delchevo area on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “endangering safety.” On 1 July 2026 in the Delchevo area, the reported person allegedly made threats against S.N. and attempted to strike her with a metal object.

On 14 August 2026 at 02:55 in a catering establishment on Partizanska Street in Ohrid, police officers from SVR Ohrid detained A.B. (32) from Austria because a white powdery substance was found and confiscated during a search. After the case has been fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed against him.

On 13 August 2026 at 14:40, SVR Ohrid was notified that a traffic accident had occurred on Jablanica Street in Ohrid between a Mercedes passenger vehicle with Ohrid registration plates, driven by A.J. (20) from the village of Kalista, Struga area, and a moped with Ohrid registration plates, driven by a 15-year-old from Ohrid. In the accident, the minor sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at the “St. Erasmus” Special Hospital in Ohrid. A public prosecutor was informed, and an inspection was carried out by an SVR Ohrid inspection team.

The Gostivar External Office for Criminal Affairs filed a criminal report against S.M. (46) from a village in the Gostivar area on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “bodily injury.” On 10 August 2026, the reported person physically attacked his wife at her workplace in a catering establishment in Gostivar and also made threats against her father.

On 13 August 2026 at 00:40 in Skopje, police officers from SVR Skopje arrested a 17-year-old from Skopje. During a traffic inspection on Aleksandar Makedonski Boulevard, police officers stopped a Ford passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates and established that the minor was driving the vehicle before obtaining the legal right to drive. A public prosecutor was informed of the incident, and after it has been fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 13 August 2026 at 07:50, the Kichevo Internal Affairs Office was notified that a traffic accident had occurred on the Kichevo–Gostivar main road, near the village of Kolari, Kichevo area, between a Fiat cargo vehicle with Skopje registration plates, driven by D.K. (56) from Skopje, and an Audi passenger vehicle with Kichevo registration plates, driven by 46-year-old L.K. from the village of Popoec, Kichevo area. In the accident, passenger R.G. (39) from the village of Drugovo, Kichevo area, sustained serious bodily injuries, while L.K. and another passenger, G.G. (74) from the village of Drugovo, sustained bodily injuries. The injuries were confirmed at the Kichevo Medical Center. A public prosecutor was informed. An inspection was carried out by a team from the Kichevo Internal Affairs Office.

On 13 August 2026 at 13:45, police officers from the Violent Crime Unit of SVR Skopje arrested O.S. (37) from Skopje. Previously, a 62-year-old man from Skopje had reported that O.S. had allegedly defrauded him on several occasions of more than €7,000, claiming that he could arrange customs documentation for the import of a passenger vehicle from a foreign country. O.S. subsequently began avoiding the victim. After realizing that he had been defrauded, the victim demanded the money he had given him, after which O.S. physically attacked him and threatened him on several occasions. After the case has been fully documented, the Violent Crime Unit will file an appropriate criminal report.

On 13 August 2026 at 21:15, at the Skopje International Airport Border Crossing, police officers detained A.I. (26) from the village of Gurgurnica, Tetovo area, who was subject to a court order to serve a prison sentence. The person was transferred to the Tetovo Prison Correctional Facility to serve his sentence.

On 13 August 2026 at 23:20 in Strumica, police officers from SVR Strumica arrested M.D. (27) and Dz.I. (27), both from the village of Bansko, Strumica area, because during a search, marijuana was found on Dz.I. A public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Strumica was informed of the incident, and after the case has been documented, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 14 August 2026 at 03:00, a 60-year-old woman reported to SVR Skopje that on 13 August 2026 at approximately 23:00, she had been physically assaulted by her son M.N. at the family home in the Karposh area. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 13 August 2026, police officers from the Grupchin Police Department arrested M.Z. (61) from the village of Zhelino. He was found setting fire to dry vegetation on his own property near the regional road between Tetovo and the village of Grupchin. The fire was extinguished by the owner. He was detained at a police station and, after the case has been documented, an appropriate report will be filed against him.

On 13 August 2026 at 18:30, SVR Skopje was notified that in the Gjorce Petrov area, A.A. (49) had been physically assaulted by K.I. (24), both from Skopje. After the case has been fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 13 August 2026 at 23:20 on Ivo Ribar Lola Street in Tetovo, police officers from SVR Tetovo arrested A.S. (43) and S.M. (42), both from Tetovo. During a search of a Mercedes vehicle with German registration plates, driven by A.S., with S.M. (42) as a passenger, a white powdery substance was found and confiscated. After the case has been documented, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 13 August 2026 at 18:50, B.P. (42) from Skopje reported to SVR Skopje that at approximately 15:00, at the entrance to a state institution where she works as a security guard, she was physically assaulted by E.P. (48) from Skopje, who also behaved aggressively toward a police officer carrying out official duties. After the case has been fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 13 August 2026 at 11:56, a 44-year-old woman from a village in the Tetovo area reported to SVR Tetovo that her husband A.J. (46), with whom she is undergoing divorce proceedings, had for an extended period been following her at her workplace and during visits to her parents, and had restricted her movement. According to the report, after she initiated the divorce proceedings, she also began receiving threatening messages from fake profiles on social media. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 13 August 2026 at 17:00, SVR Skopje was notified that in the Kisela Voda area, following a previous argument, public order and peace had been disturbed by a physical confrontation between S.N. (50) and V.N. (46), both from Skopje, who used hard objects during the confrontation. After the case has been fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 13 August 2026 at 19:00 in Ohrid, police officers from SVR Ohrid arrested Dz.M. (76) from Ohrid, acting on a previous report that he had behaved aggressively at home and threatened his daughter and grandson, while also using a sharp object. The sharp object was found and confiscated. After the case has been fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed against him.

On 13 August 2026 at 20:15, SVR Skopje was notified that at approximately 19:30 in the village of Idrizovo, Skopje area, public order and peace had been disturbed by a physical confrontation between Gj.E. (44) and A.Ch. (18), both from the village of Idrizovo. After the case has been fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 13 August 2026 at 23:30, a 27-year-old man from the Gostivar area reported to the Chegrane Police Department that at approximately 15:20, in the yard of the family home, due to unresolved property-related disputes, he had been physically attacked by his uncles J.A. and F.A., who also used sharp objects. They then entered the house, where they physically attacked his father as well. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 13 June 2026 at 03:15, SVR Skopje was notified that public order and peace had been disturbed in a casino in the Centar area by a physical confrontation between M.A.G. (47) from Turkey and N.M. (47) from Skopje. After the case has been fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 13 August 2026, SVR Tetovo was notified that at 12:45 on Blagoja Toska Boulevard in Tetovo, a traffic accident had occurred between a Daihatsu passenger vehicle with Tetovo registration plates, driven by M.M. from Tetovo, and a bicycle ridden by R.I. (60) from Tetovo. In the accident, the cyclist sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at Tetovo Clinical Hospital. An inspection of the accident scene was carried out by a team from SVR Tetovo.

On 13 August 2026, SVR Ohrid conducted an official interview with N.Ch. (49) from Ohrid, following a previous report that recently, after they had finalized divorce proceedings, he had behaved aggressively at home and threatened his 39-year-old wife. After the case has been fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed against him.

On 13 August 2026 at 20:00 in the village of Marino, Skopje area, police officers from SVR Skopje arrested M.S. (20) from the Ilinden settlement, Skopje area. During a traffic inspection on Street 532, police officers stopped a moped and established that M.S. was driving it before obtaining the legal right to drive. A public prosecutor was informed, and after the case has been fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 13 August 2026 at 15:40, police officers from SVR Tetovo arrested S.I. (25) from Tetovo on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of “endangering safety” and “stalking.” He had been reported by his 20-year-old former common-law wife from Tetovo, who alleged that he had subjected her to physical violence for an extended period and threatened to kill her. He was detained at a police station and, after the case has been documented, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 13 August 2026 at 15:00 on Pere Toshev Street in Prilep, police officers from the Prilep Internal Affairs Office arrested Ch.K. (35) from Prilep because a lump-like substance was found in his possession. After the incident has been documented, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 13 August 2026 at 15:20, police officers from SVR Kumanovo arrested D.M. (38) from a village in the Kumanovo area because he physically attacked his 36-year-old wife. He was taken to a police station and, after the case has been fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed against him.

On 13 August 2026 at 18:00, SVR Skopje was notified that at a sports betting shop in the Gazi Baba area, an individual attempted to take money from an employee by threatening him with a sharp object. After failing to do so, the individual injured the employee’s leg with the sharp object. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 13 August 2026 at 17:00 in a village in the Kocani area, police officers from the Kocani Internal Affairs Office arrested S.A. (36) from the village, following a previous report that he had physically assaulted his 33-year-old wife. A public prosecutor was informed, and after the case has been fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 13 August 2026 at 19:00, M.G. (45) from Skopje reported to SVR Skopje that at approximately 15:15 in the Centar area, in front of a pedestrian crossing, a woman driving a passenger vehicle physically assaulted his 15-year-old daughter. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 13 August 2026 at 20:45 in Kocani, police officers from the Kocani Internal Affairs Office arrested P.D. (53) from Kocani. During a traffic inspection on Todosija Paunov Street in Kocani, police officers stopped a Peugeot cargo motor vehicle which he was driving without possessing a valid driver’s license. A public prosecutor was informed, and after the case has been fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 14 August 2026 at 02:20 in the Resen area, police officers from the Resen Internal Affairs Office arrested Z.K. (43) from Tetovo because he had threatened his 40-year-old wife from the Resen area. Measures are being taken to clarify the incident.

On 13 August 2026 at 18:30, R.S. reported to SVR Skopje that he had found a spent cartridge casing from a firearm in the village of Vizbegovo, Skopje area. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 13 August 2026 at 23:50 in Shtip, police officers from SVR Shtip arrested V.N. (40) from Shtip. According to the report, for an extended period he had physically and psychologically abused his 37-year-old wife and threatened her. When measures were taken, it was established that he was under the influence of alcohol, with a measured blood alcohol level of 0.69 per mille. The person was detained at a police station and, after the case has been fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed against him.

On 13 August 2026 at 19:30 on Trizla Street in Prilep, police officers from the Prilep Internal Affairs Office arrested A.A. (46) from Prilep. During a traffic inspection, police officers stopped a moped with Prilep registration plates, driven by A.A., and established that he was driving without possessing a driver’s license. After the incident has been documented, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 13 August 2026 at 21:50 on Vasko Karangeleski Street in Prilep, police officers from the Prilep Internal Affairs Office arrested H.B. (41) from Prilep. During a traffic inspection, police officers stopped a Mitsubishi vehicle with Prilep registration plates, driven by H.B., and established that he was driving while subject to an active driving ban. He also behaved aggressively toward police officers who were carrying out official duties. After the incident has been documented, an appropriate report will be filed.

SVR Tetovo filed a criminal report against V.M. (42) from Prilep and B.S. (37) from a village in the Municipality of Zhelino on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “neglect and abuse of a child.” On 14 June 2026 in Tetovo, the second reported person, while under the influence of alcohol, left the first reported person on the street with their three-month-old baby. The first reported person then overturned the baby stroller, causing the baby to fall onto the asphalt.

On 13 August 2026 at 19:20 on Trizla Street in Prilep, police officers from the Prilep Internal Affairs Office arrested B.B. (38) from Prilep. During a traffic inspection, police officers stopped a moped with Prilep registration plates, driven by B.B., and established that he was driving without a driver’s license. After the incident has been documented, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 13 August 2026 at 16:15 in Prilep, police officers from the Prilep Internal Affairs Office arrested D.B. (37) from Prilep because he had threatened his parents. After the incident has been documented, an appropriate report will be filed.

On 13 August 2026 at 17:45, SVR Skopje was notified that a fire had broken out in the village of Bardovci, Skopje area, damaging a wooden fence belonging to a house owned by S.J. (58). The fire was extinguished by the Fire Protection Brigade, and no persons were injured. Police officers from SVR Skopje went to the scene.

On 13 August 2026 at 11:30, a 50-year-old woman reported to SVR Skopje that at approximately 04:00, she had been physically assaulted at her home in the Gazi Baba area by her former common-law partner, Sh.S. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

The Vinica External Office for Criminal Affairs filed a criminal report against M.S. (18) from the village of Leski, Vinica area, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “false reporting.” On 3 August 2026, she falsely reported to SVR Shtip that, in the village of Leski, she had stabbed an unknown person with a knife, causing stab wounds.

On 13 August 2026 at 15:20, police officers from the Negotino Internal Affairs Office conducted an official interview with M.D. (28) from the village of Pepelishte, Negotino area. According to the report, he failed to comply with a decision of the Basic Court in Kavadarci prohibiting him from contacting or harassing his 26-year-old former wife, and he sent her a message through a social media application. After the incident has been clarified and documented, an appropriate report will be filed.
