08.08.2026  EXCERPT FROM THE DAILY EVENTS

On 07/08.08.2026, in Skopje, at different locations, police officers from the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector detained D.N. (46) from the Skopje area, E.A. (24) from Skopje and M.E.J. (22) from Germany, after marijuana and a white powdery substance were found and seized from them. Following the complete documentation of the cases, appropriate submissions will be filed against them.

The Department of Internal Control, Criminal Investigations and Professional Standards within the Ministry of Internal Affairs filed a criminal complaint with the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecution of Organized Crime and Corruption against A.T. on reasonable grounds for suspicion of having committed the criminal offence of “Maltreatment in the performance of official duties” under Article 143 of the Criminal Code. The reported person, employed as a junior police officer at the Center Police Station within the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector, on 24.05.2026 at around 02:53, in the City Park – Fountain area on Ilinden Boulevard, while performing official duties towards a detained person whose hands were handcuffed, used physical force without justification and struck him in the back. By this action, he acted in a manner that demeaned the person’s human dignity and personality. The Department of Internal Control will submit a proposal to initiate proceedings to establish responsibility for a breach of work discipline against the reported person.

On 07.08.2026 at 21:35, on the Ohrid-Kicevo main road, near the village of Botun, police officers from the Criminal Police Department within the Ohrid Internal Affairs Sector detained M.Ѕ. (29) from the village of Chucher Sandevo, Skopje area. While taking measures, the police officers stopped a passenger vehicle, a “Ford” with Skopje registration plates, which he was driving, and marijuana, a white powdery substance and tablets were found and seized from him. Following the complete documentation of the case, an appropriate charge will be filed against him.

On 07.08.2026 at 22:15, the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector was informed that a traffic accident had occurred at the intersection of Madzari Street and Finska Street in Skopje, involving a moped with Skopje registration plates, driven by N.H. (18) from Skopje, and another moped with Skopje registration plates, driven by a 17-year-old from the village of Stajkovci, Skopje area, which then collided with a parked “Mercedes” cargo vehicle with Skopje registration plates. The minor sustained serious bodily injuries, while his passenger and N.H. sustained bodily injuries, all of which were confirmed at the Mother Teresa Clinical Complex and the “St. Naum Ohridski” Public Health Institution. An inspection was carried out by an inspection team from the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector.

On 07.08.2026 at 15:20, the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector was informed that a traffic accident had occurred on Justinian I Street, before the intersection with Pat za Kitka Street in Skopje, involving a “BMW” passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates, driven by S.D. (22) from Skopje, and a “Volkswagen Vento” passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates, driven by A.F. (38) from the village of Smesnica, Skopje area. A minor passenger in the “Volkswagen Vento” sustained serious bodily injuries, while A.F. sustained bodily injuries, which were confirmed at the Mother Teresa Clinical Complex. An inspection was carried out by an inspection team from the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector.

On 07.08.2026 at 13:10, the Tetovo Internal Affairs Sector was informed that on Marshal Tito Street in Tetovo, an “Audi” passenger motor vehicle with Kosovo national registration plates, driven by D.I. (26) from Kosovo, struck pedestrian D.M. (71) from the village of Raotince, Tetovo area. The pedestrian sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at Tetovo Clinical Hospital. An on-site inspection was carried out by a team from the Tetovo Internal Affairs Sector.

On 07.08.2026 at 21:30, the Gostivar Police Department was informed that on Marko Simonovski Street in Gostivar, a “Jaguar” passenger motor vehicle with Gostivar registration plates, driven by A.O. (31) from Gostivar, struck an eight-year-old girl from Gostivar. The minor sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at the Gostivar Emergency Center. An on-site inspection was carried out by a team from the Gostivar Police Department.

On 06.08.2026, police officers from the Strumica Internal Affairs Sector detained E.D. (22) from the Strumica area. During a search of his home, carried out pursuant to a court order, marijuana and hashish were found and seized. A public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Strumica was notified of the case, and following its documentation, an appropriate charge will be filed.

On 07.08.2026 at 21:35, in the Kisela Voda area of Skopje, police officers from the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector detained D.V. (37) from Skopje, acting upon a previous report that, following a brief argument, he had attacked A.K. (38) from Skopje with a sharp object and injured him. Following the complete documentation of the case, an appropriate submission will follow.

On 08.08.2026 at 04:20, the Tetovo Internal Affairs Sector was informed that a male person had fired several rounds from an automatic rifle from a moped he was riding at the family home of Sh.B. (48), after which he fled the scene. The inspection established damage to the metal gate of the yard, the façade of the house, a gazebo in the yard and a parked “BMW” passenger vehicle. Six projectiles were recovered from the scene for forensic examination. Measures are being taken to clarify the case and identify the perpetrator.

On 08.08.2026 at 09:40, in the Skopje area, police officers from the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector detained S.R. (57) from Skopje, acting upon a previous report that he had attacked his 47-year-old wife and their daughter with a hard object. Following the complete documentation of the case, an appropriate submission will follow.

On 07.08.2026 at 22:40, police officers from the Ohrid Internal Affairs Sector detained S.G. (46) from Ohrid, acting upon a previous report that at around 21:00 he had physically attacked his 67-year-old mother and thrown hard objects at the home. He was brought to a police station and will be transferred to the Idrizovo Penitentiary, where he was serving a prison sentence and had been released on weekend leave. Following the complete documentation of the case, an appropriate charge will follow.

On 07.08.2026 at 18:10, E.M. (42) from Skopje reported to the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector that at around 17:20 she had been physically attacked by B.G. (50) from Skopje at an auto repair shop in the Gazi Baba area. Following the complete documentation of the case, an appropriate submission will follow.

On 07.08.2026 at 17:25, in Radovish, police officers from the Strumica Internal Affairs Sector – Radovish Police Department detained Z.R. (51) from Radovish, acting upon a previous report that he had behaved aggressively towards his 51-year-old common-law wife. He was detained at the Radovish Police Station. A public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Strumica was notified, and following documentation of the case, an appropriate charge will be filed.

On 07.08.2026 at 20:00, D.A. (45) from Skopje reported to the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector that at around 12:10, in the Butel area, following a previously occurring traffic accident, he had been physically attacked by a male person. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 08.08.2026 at 00:20, on Major Chede Filipovski Street in Gostivar, police officers detained E.S. (28) from the village of Kalishte, Gostivar area. During a check, it was established that he was driving a “Volkswagen Golf” passenger vehicle with Gostivar registration plates without having passed a driving test. The vehicle was seized and, following documentation of the case, an appropriate submission will follow.

On 07.08.2026 at 20:10, in Ohrid, police officers from the Ohrid Internal Affairs Sector detained R.K. (49) from Ohrid. According to the report, at around 19:30, an argument occurred at the home where he lives with his father and sister between him and his 44-year-old brother, after which he attacked his brother’s wife with a glass object. After they entered the vehicle, other family members told him that he had taken out a gun and asked him to leave quickly. Following the complete documentation of the case, an appropriate charge will be filed against him.

On 07.08.2026 at 20:20, the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector was informed that a fire had broken out in the Kisela Voda area, affecting a hedge around a house and damaging an “Audi” passenger vehicle with Skopje registration plates. The fire was extinguished by the Skopje Fire Protection Brigade. M.D. (41) from Skopje sustained injuries due to smoke inhalation and was transported to the Mother Teresa Clinical Complex for medical assistance. Police officers from the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector attended the scene.

On 07.08.2026 at 23:50, the Tetovo Internal Affairs Sector was informed that a physical altercation had occurred between two groups in front of a catering establishment on Boris Kidrich Street in Tetovo, during which a knife was also used. E.M. (20) and A.R. (20), both from the village of Kamenjane, sustained stab wounds. Following measures taken, on 08.08.2026 at 01:25, A.R. (20) was detained at Tetovo Clinical Hospital, while at 01:30 H.Sh. (22) from the village of Novo Selo and A.B. (23) from the village of Gorno Palchishte voluntarily reported to the Tetovo Internal Affairs Sector. They were detained and held at a police station, while work is underway to identify other persons involved in the incident. An inspection was carried out by a team from the Tetovo Internal Affairs Sector, and following the complete clarification of the case, an appropriate submission will follow.

On 07.08.2026 at 15:30, police officers from the Kumanovo Internal Affairs Sector detained a 17-year-old from the village of Goshince, Lipkovo area, after marijuana was found during a search of his person. He was brought to a police station and, following the complete documentation of the case, an appropriate charge will be filed against him.

On 07.08.2026 at 22:20, in Negotino, police officers from the Negotino Police Department detained A.S. (18) from Negotino. During a traffic control on Marshal Tito Street in Negotino, a motorcycle with Negotino registration plates, driven by A.S., was stopped. Following measures and checks, it was established that he was driving the motorcycle without holding a valid driving licence. He was brought to a police station, the motorcycle was seized and, following documentation of the incident, an appropriate charge will be filed against him.

On 07.08.2026, in the Negotino area, it was reported to the Negotino Police Department that at 09:40 on Goce Delchev Street in Kavadarci, V.M. (49) from Kavadarci, while riding an “Aprilia” moped with Kavadarci registration plates, lost control and fell onto the roadway. The moped driver sustained serious bodily injuries, which were confirmed at Kavadarci General Hospital. An inspection was carried out by an inspection team from the Kavadarci Police Department.

On 07.08.2026 at 11:00, in the village of Rudjince, Municipality of Staro Nagorichane, police officers from the Staro Nagorichane Police Department detained D.B. (47) from the village of Orahe. During a traffic control, police officers stopped a “Zastava Yugo” passenger vehicle and established that he was driving without a driving licence and that the vehicle was unregistered. Following the complete documentation of the case, an appropriate charge will follow.

On 07.08.2026 at 16:40, police officers from the Kumanovo Internal Affairs Sector detained Zh.D. (43) from Kumanovo because he behaved aggressively and threatened his son in the family home. He was brought to a police station and, following the complete documentation of the case, an appropriate charge will follow.

On 08.08.2026 at 03:34, on Done Bozhinov Street in Kumanovo, police officers from the Kumanovo Internal Affairs Sector detained M.J. (29) from Kumanovo. During a traffic control, police officers stopped an “Audi” passenger vehicle with Kumanovo registration plates, driven by M.J., and established that he was driving under the influence of alcohol, with a measured blood alcohol concentration of 1.72‰. Following the complete documentation of the case, an appropriate charge will follow.

On 07.08.2026 at 22:20, in Veles, police officers from the Veles Internal Affairs Sector detained H.K. (40) from a village in the Veles area, acting upon a previous report that he had physically attacked his 29-year-old common-law partner at home and threatened her with a sharp object. The object was found and seized, and H.K. was detained at a police station. A public prosecutor was notified and, following documentation of the incident, an appropriate charge will be filed.

On 07.08.2026 at 23:40, in Kavadarci, police officers from the Kavadarci Police Department detained D.S. (22) from the village of Vinichani, Gradsko. During a traffic control on Tzane Pop Ristov Street in Kavadarci, a “Volkswagen Golf” passenger vehicle with Veles registration plates, driven by D.S., was stopped. Following measures and checks, it was established that he was driving before obtaining the right to drive. Following instructions from a public prosecutor, he was brought to a police station, the vehicle was seized and, following documentation of the incident, an appropriate charge will be filed.

On 07.08.2026 at 20:40, in Veles, police officers from the Veles Internal Affairs Sector detained Gj.Sh. (33) and S.Sh. (29), both from Veles, acting upon a previous report concerning neglect and abuse of a child. Police officers and representatives of the Veles Center for Social Work inspected the home where Gj.Sh., S.Sh. and their five minor children reside, establishing that there were no basic living and child-rearing conditions. A public prosecutor was notified and an official interview was conducted with the parents. In cooperation with a juvenile inspector and social workers from the Veles Center for Social Work, the children were taken to Veles General Hospital to assess their health condition, after which they were placed under the care of the Support Center for Foster Families “SOS Children’s Village”. Following the complete clarification and documentation of the incident, appropriate charges will be filed.

On 08.08.2026 at 03:45, in Shtip, police officers from the Shtip Internal Affairs Sector detained Sh.K. (63) from Shtip, acting upon a previous report that on 07.08.2026, at home, he had attacked his 59-year-old wife with a hard object. Following the complete documentation of the case, an appropriate submission will follow.

On 07.08.2026 at 16:30, at a location known as “Rakovska Intersection”, Municipality of Chashka, police officers from the Chashka Police Department detained A.L. (20) from the village of Gorno Jabolchishte, Municipality of Chashka. During a traffic control on the regional road Chashka–Drenovo, a motorcycle without registration plates, driven by A.L., was stopped. Following measures and checks, it was established that he was driving the motorcycle before obtaining the right to drive. Following instructions from a public prosecutor, he was brought to a police station, the motorcycle was seized and, following documentation of the incident, an appropriate charge will be filed against him.

On 07.08.2026 at 02:45, the Shtip Internal Affairs Sector was informed that the body of A.P. (38) from Shtip had been found at his home. An Emergency Medical Service doctor pronounced him dead, with no visible signs of violence. Upon the order of a public prosecutor, the body of the deceased was submitted for an autopsy.

On 07.08.2026 at 13:10, in Skopje, police officers from the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector detained S.B. (22) from the village of Trubarevo, Skopje area. During a traffic control on Blagoja Stefkovski Street, police officers stopped a “Hamachi” motorcycle without registration plates and established that S.B. was driving without a driving licence. A public prosecutor was notified of the case and, following its complete documentation, an appropriate charge will follow.

On 07.08.2026 at 19:30, the Macedonska Kamenica Police Department was informed that in the village of Dulica, following a previous argument, public order and peace had been disrupted by a physical altercation between B.S. and S.S. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.

On 07.08.2026 at 23:45, on Zhivko Chingo Street in Skopje, police officers from the Skopje Internal Affairs Sector detained R.M. (24) from Skopje. During a traffic control, a passenger vehicle he was driving was stopped and it was established that he was driving without a driving licence.
