On 06.04.2026 at 15:25 in SPB Kumanovo, it was reported that on “Hristijan Todorovski Karposh” street in Kumanovo, a freight vehicle “Volkswagen Transporter” with Kumanovo license plates, driven by Lj.D. On 06.04.2026 at 09:50 in SPB Tetovo, a 39-year-old man from Tetovo reported that he had been defrauded by Z.J. from Gostivar in the amount of 2,230 euros. According to the report, during February 2026, through an intermediary, he contacted the suspect regarding customs clearance of a motorcycle from Switzerland. After meeting in Tetovo and handing over the money, Z.J. failed to fulfill the agreement and did not return the money, leading to suspicion of fraud. On 06.04.2026 at 15:10 in SPB Tetovo, a 33-year-old man from Tetovo reported that he had been defrauded by S.Gj. from Ohrid, employed in a private consulting firm. According to the report, at the end of 2024 he contacted the suspect for mediation in obtaining a German work visa, and on 01.11.2024 he paid 24,520 denars to the company’s account. Although he was promised the visa would be ready within three months, by the day of reporting it had not been completed. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
On 06.04.2026, police officers from NJPB Gostivar, in cooperation with construction inspectors from the Municipality of Gostivar, conducted an inspection in the village of Forino due to suspicion of the criminal offenses “usurpation of state land” and “illegal construction.” It was established that at a location called “Rudina,” construction of a building had begun without proper documentation on state-owned land, with Sh.S. (39) from Forino as the investor. The contractor B.R. (40) and several workers were found at the site, while two citizens of the Republic of Albania, E.O. (33) and D.O. (49), were detained for misuse of tourist stay and held at the Gostivar police station for further procedure. Construction machinery found at the site was also temporarily seized.
