The Bitola Sector for Internal Affairs filed a criminal complaint against A.A. (54) from the village of Kishava, Bitola region, due to reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense “unauthorized production, possession and trafficking of firearms or explosive materials.” On 28.12.2025, police officers carried out a search of the suspect’s home and auxiliary premises, as well as a facility belonging to another person that had been given for use to the suspect, during which an automatic rifle “M70 AB” caliber 7.62 mm and 258 rounds of ammunition were found and seized.
The External Office for Criminal Affairs Sveti Nikole filed a criminal complaint against S.D. (65) from Sveti Nikole for the criminal offense “performing public transport without a license.” On 21.11.2025 in Sveti Nikole, police officers inspected a passenger vehicle “Volkswagen Golf” with Sveti Nikole registration plates, driven by the suspect, and determined that he was transporting passengers without a license issued by a competent authority.
On 04.01.2026 in Skopje, at different locations, police officers from the Skopje SIA deprived I.O. (24) from Skopje and A.S. (25) from the village of Trubarevo of their liberty after marijuana was found and seized from them. After full documentation of the cases, appropriate charges will follow.
On 05.01.2026 at 00:10 in the village of Tearce, Tetovo region, police officers from the Tearce Police Unit detained Lj.A. (33) from the village of Prshovce, Tetovo region. He was wanted under a court order to serve a prison sentence for a criminal offense under Article 297 of the Criminal Code. The person was transferred to Tetovo Prison to serve the sentence.
On 04.01.2026 at 11:00, the Kriva Palanka Police Station received a report that on a local road in the village of Durachka Reka, at a place known as “Mushkarichina Bavcha,” an 83-year-old man K.M. from the village of Koshari, while riding a “Tomos” moped, lost control and fell onto the roadway. The driver sustained serious bodily injuries and was first treated at the Health Center in Kriva Palanka, then transferred to the “Mother Teresa” Clinical Center in Skopje, where he later died. By order of a public prosecutor, the body was sent for autopsy, and an on-site investigation was conducted by a team from the Kriva Palanka Police.
On 04.01.2026 at 14:45 in Kichevo, police officers from the Kichevo Police Station deprived A.A. (45) and J.D. (36), both from Kichevo, of their liberty. They are suspected that around 13:30 near the village of Trapchin Dol, at a location known as “Seferov Bunar,” following a prior argument, they attacked B.A. (38) from Kichevo with a knife, inflicting stab wounds. After receiving medical treatment at the Kichevo hospital, due to the seriousness of his injuries, the victim was transferred to the “8 September” City General Hospital in Skopje. During searches of their homes conducted under a court order, police found knives, and at J.D.’s home a syringe filled with a brown liquid substance and items with traces of white powder were also found. A public prosecutor was notified, and after full documentation, appropriate charges will be filed.
On 05.01.2026 at 01:02, the Skopje SIA received a report that at the “Petrovec” toll station in Skopje, employee N.A. (45) was physically attacked by a person who used a glass object and inflicted injuries, after which the attacker broke the toll barrier with a “Mercedes” vehicle bearing Skopje license plates and fled. Measures are being taken to resolve the case.
On 05.01.2026 at 03:47, B.B. (29) from Skopje reported that in the Center area of Skopje, he was physically attacked by two persons using a sharp object. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
Today (05.01.2026), at the Kisela Voda Police Station, police officers conducted an official interview with K.S. (43) from Skopje, acting on a previous report that on 03.01.2026 in a home in the Center area he physically assaulted his 39-year-old partner. After full documentation, appropriate charges will follow.
On 04.01.2026 at 12:20, the Skopje SIA was notified by Idrizovo Prison that around 10:00, during a search of inmate H.I. (49) from the Kichevo region, who had returned from weekend leave, marijuana was found and seized. Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
The Department for Internal Control, Criminal Investigations and Professional Standards at the Ministry of Internal Affairs filed a criminal complaint with the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Ohrid against S.M. for the criminal offense “abuse of official position and authority” under Article 353 of the Criminal Code. The suspect, a manager of an MIA resort in Ohrid, during the periods from 02.02.2025 to 05.02.2025 and from 21.05.2025 to 26.05.2025 recorded that employee J.I., a cook at the resort, was present at work, although she was outside the country. He also recorded that from 28.05.2025 to 30.11.2025 she was on sick leave, despite no such documentation being issued by her family doctor. Through these actions, the suspect enabled J.I. to obtain unlawful financial gain of 253,834 denars, causing damage to the MIA budget. Disciplinary procedures were initiated against both persons, S.M. was temporarily removed from duty, and J.I. was ordered to compensate the incurred damage.
