Today (08.05.2026), preventive activities titled “Do Not Use a Mobile Phone” and “Wear a Seatbelt” were carried out in Probishtip and Shtip. Drivers were informed about the dangers of using a mobile phone while driving, as well as the importance of wearing seatbelts for both drivers and passengers. The aim of the activities was to raise awareness among road users and improve traffic culture in order to reduce the number of traffic accidents. Educational printed materials were also distributed during the activities.
During the previous day, the Prevention Department of SVR Skopje organized a forum at the “Nikola Karev” secondary school dedicated to the prevention of violence and addictions. Students were informed about the importance of responsible behavior, as well as the measures and consequences arising from violations of the legal provisions related to public order and peace and the Criminal Code.
In the area covered by the Chair Police Station, a preventive activity titled “Do Not Leave Valuable Items in Your Vehicle” was also conducted. Drivers were advised not to leave valuable items visible inside their vehicles when leaving them unattended, in order to prevent property-related crimes.
