On January 2, 2026, in the central urban area of Probishtip, police officers from the Probishtip Department of Internal Affairs under the Štip Police Directorate conducted a preventive activity aimed at raising awareness about the harmful consequences of using weapons and pyrotechnics under the motto "Celebrate with heart, not with weapons."
As part of the activity, educational leaflets were distributed to citizens, and they were also presented with the dangers and risks associated with the use of pyrotechnics, the consequences that may arise from their use, the legal regulations regarding unauthorized use and handling of pyrotechnics, as well as the role of the police in these matters. It was also pointed out that firing weapons or pyrotechnics constitutes a criminal offense of "causing general danger," for which imprisonment is prescribed.
