Today (12 June 2026), at several locations in Shtip, police officers from the Traffic Police Station of Shtip carried out a preventive campaign under the slogan "Park Consciously, Park Responsibly." During the activity, drivers were reminded to park only in designated parking areas and to comply with traffic rules and regulations. Educational leaflets were also distributed.
A preventive activity was also conducted today in Delchevo, focusing on the recognition and prevention of domestic violence. During the campaign, citizens received self-protection advice, guidance on how to recognize violence, and information on what they can do if they find themselves in such a situation or witness any form of violence. Citizens were also informed about the occurrence of domestic violence, their rights, and the protection measures available in cases of domestic and gender-based violence. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of cooperation with the police and timely reporting through the emergency number 112.
Today, SIA Skopje conducted a preventive activity within the jurisdiction of the Dračevo Police Station aimed at informing and educating the elderly population, who are most frequently targeted by telephone fraud schemes. Through direct conversations and the distribution of educational materials, citizens were informed that one of the most common forms of fraud involves fake traffic accident scenarios, where fraudsters call victims while posing as police officers, lawyers, prosecutors, or doctors and request a certain amount of money.
In addition, a working meeting was held with representatives of the Municipality of Zelenikovo, during which the measures and activities planned for the early prevention of fires were presented. Citizens were also informed about the legal consequences and regulations applicable to individuals who act negligently or cause forest and open-air fires. Furthermore, discussions were held regarding the reactivation and regular functioning of the Local Prevention Council in order to ensure the swift and effective resolution of issues related to the safety and security of the municipality's residents.
