Today (May 19, 2026) at the headquarters of the Mobile Unit for Road Safety within the Traffic Department, in collaboration with representatives from the National Council for Road Safety, an educational-preventive activity was conducted with a visit from the youngest students of the first grade at the Primary School "Kočo Racin" in Petrovac.
The students had the opportunity to directly learn about the role and tasks of the police and police work, a police vehicle, a police motorcycle, as well as some of the official equipment used by traffic police in their daily operations.
Additionally, through discussion and practical presentation, the students gained new knowledge about safety, proper behavior, and the significance and role of the police in protecting citizens.
Representatives from the National Council for Road Safety presented the students with basic rules for safe participation in traffic, with a special emphasis on the responsible behavior of pedestrians.
At the end of the visit, the children were given educational materials aimed at raising traffic culture and safety among the youngest.
