On October 21, 2026, in Veles, police officers from the Police Department conducted preventive activities under the theme "If you drink, don't drive" and for protection against theft. The activities were carried out to raise awareness among drivers about the risks they take when getting behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol, as well as to provide advice on how to enhance personal safety and be mindful of their belongings. As part of the activities, printed educational materials were distributed.
Today, preventive activities for greater safety in traffic were conducted in Prilep and Kochani. At several locations in the central urban area of Prilep, pedestrians were informed about the consequences that may arise if they do not adhere to traffic rules and regulations, as well as that they must not use mobile phones while crossing at pedestrian crossings. Meanwhile, drivers were advised not to operate vehicles under the influence of alcohol, given that alcohol significantly impairs driving skills, disrupts psychomotor abilities, and poses a serious threat to their safety and that of other road users. An educational lecture was held at the primary school "Rade Kratovche" in Kochani to familiarize students with basic traffic rules and regulations and the significance of certain traffic signs.
Additionally, today, an educational campaign was implemented in Probishtip under the motto "Let's protect ourselves from pickpocketing." During several meetings, citizens were given advice on self-protection against property crimes, and the necessity of cooperation and timely communication with the police was emphasized, primarily through accurate and prompt reporting to the free phone number 112.
